Este passeio inclui alguns dos locais mais deslumbrantes da Armênia na direção sudeste. A primeira parada será na antiga vila de Areni, onde foi encontrada uma vinícola de 6.000 anos. Você desfrutará aqui de degustação de vinhos e um passeio pela fábrica "Hin Areni". Mais adiante na rota, vem um voo no teleférico reversível mais longo do mundo – "Wings of Tatev" e uma visita ao complexo único do mosteiro de Tatev. Outra parada impressionante será na cidade das cavernas de Khndzoresk, onde os mais corajosos podem caminhar pela ponte oscilante em busca de adrenalina.

Vayots Dzor e aldeia Areni em particular tem sido o berço da vinícola armênia por milênios. A fábrica de vinho "Hin Areni" abre as portas desta região para o mundo para exibir as variedades de uvas armênias históricas e indígenas. Na vinícola as tradições históricas da fabricação de vinhos são bem combinadas com equipamentos modernos de última geração. A fábrica de vinho "Hin Areni" tem capacidade para processar mais de 250 toneladas de uvas.
Entre os pilares arquitetônicos de Zangezour, o mosteiro de Tatev não tem seus "rivais". Costumava ser o mosteiro medieval mais rico da Armênia. Além de ser um centro religioso, Tatev foi também o importante centro estratégico do reino Syunik. Estando situado em um lugar naturalmente defendido, o mosteiro de Tatev sempre foi uma fortaleza inexpugnável para estrangeiros. Em condições políticas instáveis, vários caminhos secretos no território da fortaleza conduziam ao canyon e serviam de ligação entre o mosteiro e o mundo exterior.
Os sinos da igreja estavam tocando alto em Tatev em 16 de outubro de 2010, anunciando o lançamento de um programa para reviver um complexo monástico medieval e a abertura de "Wings of Tatev Ropeway". O teleférico de 5,7 km, construído em 11 meses, passa por um profundo desfiladeiro do rio Vorotan e por colinas, cobertas por florestas exuberantes. O bonde é sustentado por três torres entre seus dois terminais. Um terminal fica em uma colina, com vista para a vila de Halidzor e o outro fica perto do Mosteiro de Tatev, na estrada para a vila de Tatev. Duas cabines operam ao mesmo tempo, viajando em direções opostas. São 6 cabos ao todo (3 para cada cabine), cada um previsto exclusivamente para as especificações deste projeto. Em cerca de 11 minutos, uma cabine de bonde leva passageiros, 30 de cada vez, da vila de Halidzor ao magnífico complexo de Tatev.
Khndzoresk está localizado a 8 km de Goris. A aldeia é famosa pelos seus "tapetes de pedra" naturais. Old Khndzoresk está situado nas duas encostas do vale montanhoso. Não havia áreas planas nessas encostas para a construção de assentamentos e por isso as pessoas usavam cavernas. Durante o movimento de libertação nacional de Syunik (1722-1730), devido à sua posição geográfica inacessível, Khndzoresk serviu de reduto para Syunik. O comandante armênio Mkhitar Sparapet está enterrado em Khndzoresk. Ao lado dele descansam seu filho Aharon e a Senhora de Syunik – Gohar. Recentemente, uma estrutura única - uma "ponte oscilante" foi aberta em Khndzoresk, cujo comprimento é de 160 m, a altura do ponto mais profundo do desfiladeiro é de 63 me a largura é de 1,5 m. 700 pessoas simultaneamente podem atravessar esta ponte pesando 14 toneladas. A ponte, de onde se abre uma vista magnífica, liga as duas margens do antigo Khndzoresk.

Had this tour with Eduard (one of the best English and Russian speaking tour guides) and Karen (the best driver (the one with the souvenir sign of his name attached to the front of the van)). This very long, arduous, but beautiful tour was also educational in terms of regional history, culture, and religious traditions. Eduard and Karen were very patient and kind. So, make sure you seek all the tours with them if you want a hardworking guide who speaks both English and Russian well (coming from a person who speaks both). If you’re from Hyur Service, give them a raise, and if you’re a tourist, make sure to ask for them for long tours! Thank you for making this long tour bearable and enjoyable, dear Eduard and Karen! And if you’re a lucky tourist, you can het blessed by the very famous Father Miqayel in Tatev!

Driver Araïk and guide Nina were very professional and courteous. Very bad microphone on bus. I had the impression that the explanation in Russian was longer and more explicit than in English. Meal was ok but the chicken could have been juicier and not dry for 4,900 Drams. I did not like the wine they made us taste; it was the cheapest level of wine they made us taste. Not a good idea of the purpose was to make us purchase some. I did not buy any. All in all, it was a beautiful experience and worth rebooting with the same agency. Thank you Nina and Araik.

Fantastic tour for those who want a little adventure. It was well-timed with enough stops to keep it interesting but few enough that you could take your time looking at each attraction. Our guide Edward was very knowledgeable and did a great job organizing the tour so that both the Russian speakers and English speakers could enjoy it. I appreciated the interesting facts throughout the drive and stories both historical and mythical. Special thanks also to our driver Haik, who did an amazing job navigating roads in the fog that weren’t in the best conditions.
