What an exceptional trip with Luigi. He was very professional and soo funny. The day was perfectly planned. We got to see the blue grotto which was super cool. We skipped the lift in Anicarpi due to cloudy conditions. Instead we visited other grottos which was well worth it. Breath taking views and pics. Highly recommend!!!
My daughters and I had a fabulous time with our tour guide, Luigi! Even with the hot weather, we managed to enjoy every minute of the tour. Luigi’s sense of humor was amazing, and he was incredibly informative and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
Brilliant day from start to finish. Marcella was our guide and explained before getting onto the ferry about getting off as quickly as possible in order to get to the blue grotto if it was open. We arrived and our group of 14 made a quick dash to our meeting point. Within minutes we were on a boat heading to the blue grotto which was open. We had a very short wait (5-10mins max) and we were moved into the small rowing boats. Into the cave which is an exciting experience in itself! We were inside for 10mins and back out again. All credit to the rowers for getting us in and out safely as waves were at times concealing the entrance - you can see how easily it would be shut. Back on the shuttle bus (we got out at the side of the cave and walked up some steps - again showing the efficiency of the trip) and into Anacapri by 9.30am. Amazing. In our free time we did the chairlift, our boys of 9 and 11 managed this no bother at all. Again, only a short wait, maybe 10-15mins or so. Enjoyed the view at the top and then came back down. We then walked to the Mamma Mia viewpoint and then came back to the restaurant Marcella had recommended. Lovely wine and food there. Back to the bus and headed down to ‘main’ Capri. As we had done so well with time, we got the option to shorten our time there to an hour in order to go out on another boat trip to see more sights which we did. This was 25 euros each (paid in cash) however our boys were free. An hour in Capri was long enough for us, it was busy and super hot. Boys enjoyed gelato and we enjoyed a lemon sorbet. Then onto our final boat trip where we saw many caves, green grotto and the iconic rock formations. Back to the marina to transfer onto our ferry back. We honestly loved our day and felt we saw the best of Capri with the least amount of stress possible. It was so streamlined. Highly recommend.
amazing day with luigi. he is fantastic guide . he is hooked up everywhere and is able to get infront of lines and knows how to schedule. from sorrento ferry , we immediately boarded mini bus at the capri marina and he took us straight up to anacapri for the chairlift before any long lines. had free time in anacapri. then we went to the center of capri, also had free time there. then he got word from his supervisor that the grotto had opened so he took us on mini bus from center of capri to the marina. we immediately boarded a small boat and went out to the grotto. the minute we got there - our group got on the rowboats and were in the grotto within minutes despite long lines. after grotto we went back to marina where we had an hour to go into water or hang out eat shop like at other areas. the water there on public beach is amazing- bring water shoes it’s rocky. and was great to relax in the cool water. luigi was talking while we were on bus and gave us alot of history and info on capri. very funny and personable. highly recommend this tour. after marina we loaded the ferry and were back in sorrento. .
Really enjoyed the boat trip and stops along the way. Antonio and Frederica were great hosts. The swim at the end was so refreshing and worth it!!
Luigi was our tour guy. We went as a family of five, we left as a family of 6. He was amazing. He really attempted & exceeding to make us all happy. The entire tour had about 20 people, including us.
A fantastic day exploring the outstandingly beautiful island of Capri. Definitely the highlight of our holiday so far, in part because of our brilliant tour guide (named Luigi …. of course!) We were lucky to be able to enter the Blue Grotto (wow!) and the chair lift ride was a very unique and relaxing way to reach the spectacular views from the summit. Capri was, of course, busy - and having an organised mini bus and driver (the roads are very narrow!) was a godsend. We ended the day with a bonus private boat trip around half of the coastline - it was perfect.
Luigi was a fantastic guide! Friendly, professional, informative and very clear with the expectations and what we might or might not be able to do/when to meet up. Our excursion was something I’ve been wanting to do my entire life and I’m so happy I did it! The icing on the cake was our tour on the boat.
It’s very hot in July and very bussy…we got there first in the morning so it Was not as bad as we were leaving … lines everywhere
My boyfriend and I took this tour on June 11 with your exceptional tour guide Luigi. We loved the tour starting with the Blue Grotto then to Anacapri, Capri and ending the day with a boat tour around the island. It was a wonderful experience but it would not have been the same without the charisma and personality of the one and only "Luigi". We look forward to revisiting some day.
