The places we visited, especially Glencoe, were very beautiful. Unfortunately, many of them were crowded during this busy tourist season. The weather was perfect except for some mist just before we left for the boat tour of Loch Ness. And it cleared up soon after the tour started.
Absolutely worth the time, the experience was exceptional, and you learned while on the move in Scotland!
If we had more days in Scotland we would definitely have taken another tour . This was fantastic. Long day but beautiful and we had a great driver ! Scottish highlands was sensational
Long day, a lot of bus travel. Nice short breaks. Weather was perfect. Rainy/foggy days would be ok as well I'm sure.
Our guide, Alex D. was delightful! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and witty. From Glencoe to the cops we had a wonderful trip. .
Guide arrived late in the morning at the meeting point in Edinburgh. He drove us late for the Loch Ness cruise, so we didn't do the cruise. Frequent stops but in super rushed timing mode at Glencoe, but fabulous landscapes. No refund provided. I do not recommend it, too bad.
Billy N was a great driver and tour guide. A lot of fun and great stops in the Scottish highlands. Saw a lot, learned a lot and had great fun.
Our English-language tour was led by guide Barbara. It proceeded as planned in the itinerary. Barbara was very caring and humorous and told us all sorts of things that one should know about Scotland. A particularly lovely stop for us was the ferry trip on Loch Ness. That is truly a unique experience. Did we find Nessie? You just have to see for yourself and book a trip to Loch Ness. ;-)
The tour guide was great, but the overall value for the trip was just okay. The amount of time you’re in each location is very short. I understand that we need a lot of time to travel but you feel rushed when you’re in each location. I wish I could have taken a photo with the sign for Loch Ness, not enough time due to needing to eat lunch. There were so many people that every place was crowded it’s a very small area. If you want a good seat on the cruise, you need to be first in line which if you want to eat won’t happen. I don’t know why there are pictures of highland cows, maybe people got lucky. The only cows I saw were at a distance, very very far away. I would not recommend this tour. Honestly disappointed. At least our tour guide kept it entertaining and I learned a lot and she made me want to explore more of Scotland. The views were nice but, you see them zooming by on a bus. We did get to stop to see a few mountains.
Hello, Thanks for writing this review. It's nice to hear that you thought your driver-guide was great and that you learned a lot from her. It always makes us happy to receive positive feedback on our driver-guides, as we think they are amazing. It's a shame though that your tour was disappointing and that you felt rushed throughout the day. It is a long drive to get to Loch Ness from Edinburgh, and we try to break it with stops where guests can see different scenery. I understand that the balance of time on the bus and at different stops didn't suit you, and we're sorry for this. We appreciate you telling us about your experience, it helps us improve how we operate this tour. I know that the stop at Loch Ness can feel short to grab lunch and hop on the cruise, and I'm sorry that you felt like you didn't have enough time to grab food and a good seat on the boat. On some tours, we make stop to go see highland cows, however, it's not always possible depending on many factors such as timings, traffic and parking. I apologise that this was not possible for you on tour and that it was disappointing. Hopefully, we can welcome you back on board in the future and offer you a slower pace tour that would suit you more. Best regards, Camille
Our tour guide Lauren was absolutely incredible! She told so many amazing stories about Scotland and her delivery was electric ⚡ She was able to squeeze in a visit to a second location to see highland coos and we were so grateful as the first location's coos were not being social at all. Thanks for such a great day of adventures, Lauren!
