The driver/guide: a very weird individual that constantly talked to himself while driving and making comments about other drivers around him. He followed too close and often went over the speed limits. Several people asked him to turn down the sound because they couldn’t understand him. He just ignored them. Said he was Scottish. At some point he referred to the stuffed animal on his dash as resembling Donald Trump. Making a joke about Trump as if everyone was comfortable with it. Don’t ya think politics should be parked at home? He asked my wife and I to stop talking, actually shushing us because he had to concentrate on his speaking and driving. Told us, over the PA, to move to the back of the bus if we wanted to talk. I wrote to the company and they blew it off making excuses for his bad behaviour. Folks, at £125 for my wife and I, generally quiet people, thus was uncalled for. The entire experience was expensive and unprofessional.
Fantastic tour with loads of history. Our driver Steven was great and provided excellent oratory history on our way to each stop. Each destination had so much immersive history to experience.
The tour was the perfect combination of sights for us. We really felt that we saw a lot that day! Our guide was knowledgeable and very entertaining. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I took this tour on July 10, 2026. My tour guide was Chris. And he was fantastic! The tour itself is wonderful-- very informative and insightful. The sights and information provided about everything was wonderful. Chris did a great job providing foundational knowledge of what the tour sites were about. And he effectively communicated how everything tied in together in Scottish history. Very nice! Highly recommended!
Great trip with our guide Brodie. Informative and funny. Nice pace and comfortable van. Remember to purchase your tickets to Sterling Castle beforehand.
Hello William, Thank you for the lovely review, we're please to hear that Brodie was able to make your experience even more enjoyable with his impeccable sense of humour. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future! Lucy Cheng Highland Experience
Lee was very helpful, especially because one of us had mobility issues. I think our favourite part was Dunfermline Abbey, followed by Rosslyn Chapel. Stirling Castle was just too big to explore in a couple of hours, though lunch at the Unicorn cafe was great. My only suggestion would be to include all entry tickets, as we never got the email about booking them beforehand, and had to scramble to book them online en route.
Hello, I'm glad hear that you enjoyed most of your trip! Thank you for your honest review, It really helps us to improve our future tours. We will take into account your suggestions on the itinerary. In terms of the tickets we do send out an email with all the information required prior to the tours, we may however experience technical issues. We will look into other ways on passing on this kind of information, as we know that it can be stressful as is to be somewhere unfamiliar. So we do try to make it as easy for you as possible, in hopes to not add to the stress of traveling. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, Lucy Cheng Highland Experience
Hugh was an excellent driver and tour guide. He showed excitement in telling all the passengers the history of scotland. As well as the lineage
Hello Andrew, Thank you for your review! What would a tour be without its history? This is why we are soo grateful for our guides. With Hugh being a veteran we feel it just makes the experience that much more special. We take pride in our guides and their pasts, as their experiences add to the tours and makes them just that much more personal. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, Lucy Cheng Highland Experience
Dougie is funny, organized, and answers any questions. Lovely day with plenty of stops and sights, jokes
Our tour guide had a lot of good tidbits of information as we drove along. The cost of the tour plus buying tickets to Stirling Castle was a little pricey, but the 3 locations and their history were very interesting. Dunfermline Abbey was a self guided tour, Stirling Castle had the largest crowds, but it was easy to hear and follow the guide there, and the guide at Rosslyn Chapel was excellent.
A great day tour of some key sights. The highlight would be Rosslyn Chapel. The tour guide Alex was awesome. To get out of Edinburgh for the day, this tour is well worth it.
