O forte de Jaisalmer é um centro urbano vivo, com cerca de 3000 pessoas a residir dentro das suas muralhas. É um favo de mel com vielas estreitas e sinuosas, ladeadas por casas e templos – além de um grande número de lojas de artesanato, pousadas e restaurantes. Você entra no forte do leste, perto de Gopa Chowk, e passa por quatro portões maciços na rota em ziguezague para a parte superior. O portão final abre para a praça que forma o centro do forte, Dashera Chowk.
Os templos jainistas são um dos templos mais antigos de Jaisalmer, situados dentro do complexo do Forte de Jaisalmer. Esses templos jainistas são as atrações religiosas mais importantes de Jaisalmer. Existem sete templos jainistas no total que são construídos durante os séculos XII e XV dC. Esses templos jainistas são dedicados a diferentes tirthankars jainistas. Entre esses templos, o maior é o Templo Parsvanath e é o mais atraente; outros sendo o templo Chandraprabhu, o templo Rishabdev, o templo Shitalnath, o templo Kunthanath e o templo Shantinath.
Este belo haveli está localizado no coração da cidade em pequenas passagens. Haveli de propriedade privada do século 19 conhecida por esculturas exteriores ornamentadas e arquitetura única.
O maior peixe no lago haveli (residência tradicional decorada com ornamentos) é Patwa-ki-Haveli, que se eleva sobre uma rua estreita, com seus intrincados trabalhos em pedra como renda cor de mel. Dividido em cinco seções, foi construído entre 1800 e 1860 por cinco irmãos jainistas que fizeram fortuna no brocado e na joalheria. É tudo muito impressionante do lado de fora; no entanto, a primeira das cinco seções, o Museu Patwa-ki-Haveli de Kothari, de propriedade privada, evoca ricamente a vida do século XIX e é a única pela qual vale a pena pagar a entrada. Outras seções incluem dois 'museus' de propriedade do governo em grande parte vazios e duas seções privadas contendo lojas.
Lago Gadi Sagar situado ao sul da cidade de Jaisalmer. Gadi Sagar um lago de água da chuva de Jaisalmer, está localizado em meio a um ambiente calmo e fresco. Dedicado ao sábio Vyas, que escreveu o poema épico Mahabharata, Vyas Chhatri tem belos memoriais e é um local de cremação para os brâmanes. Os cenotáfios de arenito amarelo são construídos em plataformas elevadas, com chhatris primorosamente desenhados em cima de pilares finamente esculpidos. Eles são um exemplo impressionante da arquitetura do Rajastão. Construído em uma colina, você pode ver o Forte Dourado de Jaisalmer à distância e vistas fascinantes do pôr do sol.

It was an amazing day with our guide Marvin to tour Jaisalmer. He was really really knowledgeable and explained everything in details! We visited popular place in Jaisalmer like Fort, Jain Temple and patwon ki haveli. Best part of this tour was a beautiful sunset with large golden fort view. Always smiling and happy to answer our questions! Really recommend this tour!

Jaisalmer is a beautiful place. I took help from DIH for a day tour of the Golden city along with a guide. Mr. Sharma assisted me through the tour. We been to Jaisalmer Fort, Patwo ki haweli, Kuldhara, local market etc. They arranged transport as well as necessary permits. The guide was quite knowledgeable, patient and kind. I had a great experience taking this tour with DIH. I also further took their assistance to get my accommodation and adventure sport services in Sam desert. The stay was comfortable, hygienic with great food. I will surely take their services for my Udaipur and Jodhpur trip as they specialise in Rajasthan tours.

I travelled to Rajasthan for 10 days in Feb 23. It was a family tour across Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer. We got this trip planned by DIH. They managed every single requirement from this trip. Stay, food, travel vehicle, tickets, shopping, hotel etc was managed as per our expectations. I am happy that I tried their services. I am quite satisfied and would recommend it to all who love to travel but don’t want to hustle with the planning of it. They did an amazing job, and helped us the real vibe of Rajasthan which I might have missed if I would have gone through some big travel aggregator platform. Highly recommended.

DIH is a one stop shop for all your travel needs, literally. It was referred to me by one of my friends. So, I thought to try them for a customised travel itinerary. I did a Delhi, Agra and Jaipur tour with them and some of my friends from Canada joined me on this trip. So, we requested for a custom, offbeat trip for ourselves. It was a 10 days road trip and we had the best time of our lives during this trip. We were 7 people and DIH managed all the travel, stay, food, and day visits to monuments. We started from Delhi and were picked up by a traveller vehicle along with a trip manager cum guide and a driver who travelled with us through this trip. Jaisalmer was a beautiful city in Rajasthan. It was a family visit to Jaisalmer. It was a 3 day long trip covering the city and one night at Sam desert. DIH organized my travel tickets, hotel stay and a beautiful camp stay as per my requirement. DIH gave us a guide to visit all monuments in Jaisalmer and he explained everything quite nicely. I loved the whole experience of being on this trip. Payment terms were quite transparent with DIH, you may pay via online transfer, cash, cheque. The booking amount was give 50% at the time of the booking and 100% before leaving from Jaisalmer. I love Rajasthan and cnt wait to come again to explore the other cities.

I did my Jaipur tour with Delightful India Holidays in Jan 2023. It was a great experience overall. They arranged day tour to Amber Palace, Jantar Mantar, Patrika Gate, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Nahargarh Fort. The trip was divided in 4 days as I wanted to visit most of the places and not rush it. DIH arranged my stay in beautiful property in the heart of the town. The best part was the hospitality, people and sanitised accommodation. Rajasthan trip with DIH A friend recommend DIH for travel related bookings. They were know to have travel services across India, however I tried them for Jaisalmer trip. It was a family trip and DIH helped us to prepare a travel plan including best things to explore in the city. They helped us with local guide, vehicle for city travel, hotel, camp bookings. We also enjoyed many adventure activities in the desert 🌵with the help of DIH. The arrangements done by the team was good and well coordinated. I didn't have to worry about anything. Fascinating day trip Jaisalmer city I planned my Jaisalmer trip with the help of DIH team. They were quick to understand my requirements and interest areas while travelling to the city. The day trip in the city was amazing and informative. All thanks to our guide Kamal. We liked their services and did our booking through DIG only. I got amazing property to stay in Jaisalmer city along with a beautiful camp site in the Sam desert. Food at the camp was authentic Rajasthani taste. Camp had various activities which were liked by children like dance, games etc. Highly recommend DIH for making travel arrangements.
