I booked the High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, and Philae Temple tour during my stay in Aswan, and it turned out to be one of the most interesting days of my trip. The highlight for me was Philae Temple. Arriving by boat and seeing the temple appear among the islands felt almost magical. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the stories behind the temple made the visit even more memorable. A funny moment happened at the Unfinished Obelisk site when our guide asked us to guess how much the obelisk would have weighed if completed. The guesses from our group were all over the place, and everyone laughed when we realized how massive it actually was. It was a fun way to learn something new. The High Dam was also impressive. Standing there and hearing how it changed life in Egypt gave me a better understanding of the country's modern history. Everything was very well organized. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and always happy to answer questions. The transportation was comfortable, air-conditioned, and perfectly on time throughout the day. What I appreciated most was the value for money. The combination of historical sites, smooth transportation, and professional guiding made the tour feel like an excellent deal. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Aswan and wanting to see its most important landmarks in a single day.
I joined a day tour in Aswan visiting Philae Temple, the High Dam, and the famous Unfinished Obelisk. Our guide explained everything in such a fun and easy way that history never felt boring for a second. I absolutely loved reaching Philae Temple by boat the view of the temple surrounded by the Nile was magical and peaceful. The story of Isis and how the temple was moved to save it from flooding made the place feel even more special. The High Dam was impressive because you really realize how important it was for modern Egypt, but my favorite stop was definitely the unfinished obelisk. Seeing this gigantic piece of stone still attached to the bedrock was honestly mind-blowing. Our guide showed us the visible cracks and explained how ancient Egyptians carved obelisks directly from the granite thousands of years ago. It felt like seeing history frozen in time. One funny moment was when I tried taking a dramatic photo beside the obelisk to show its size… and immediately realized I looked tiny like an ant next to it 😂 The whole tour was very organized, comfortable, and never rushed. Aswan itself felt calm, beautiful, and incredibly welcoming. If you want a mix of history, scenery, and relaxing vibes, this tour is absolutely worth it.
