Monumento aos 30 anos da vitória na Segunda Guerra Mundial, ou como é chamado pelo povo da Geórgia - a mãe é uma memória eterna, que acolhe os visitantes, assim como os residentes locais na entrada da ensolarada cidade de Marneuli. O monumento é apresentado na forma de uma mulher de bronze que constrói atrás de dois filhos com uma espada por dois nas mãos. Merab Konstantinovich Berdzenishvili - um notável escultor dos tempos soviéticos, que criou esta obra-prima e recebeu o correspondente prêmio em 1976. A idéia básica é que as pessoas se lembrem do custo de vencer a guerra.
Aqui atravessamos a fronteira da Geórgia e da Armênia. Atravessar a fronteira geralmente leva de 10 a 20 minutos.
As florestas de Dilijan cobrem uma área de mais de 34.000 hectares. Para o enriquecimento da vida natural em torno Dilijan, a reserva florestal do estado foi fundada em 1958 para tornar-se conhecido como Parque Nacional Dilijan mais tarde em 2002. Madeiras cobrem 94% do território do parque e com cerca de 40 tipos de árvores e 18 tipos de arbustos, sendo principalmente carvalhos, faias, hornbeams, bordos, olmos, salgueiros, etc.
Comemorando um lendário filme soviético, o Monumento aos Heróis do Filme Mimino apresenta estátuas de personagens-chave e oferece uma ótima foto op. No centro da cidade, o memorial retrata três personagens em pé ao redor de uma torneira de água potável na conversa. Uma oportunidade de foto para conhecedores de filmes ou simplesmente um local para reabastecer sua garrafa - de qualquer forma, traga sua câmera.
Alinhada com casas tradicionais e oficinas de artesãos, a Sharambeyan Street leva você de volta centenas de anos no tempo. Situada dentro de um parque nacional, a área, popularmente conhecida como "Pequena Suíça" por suas colinas arborizadas e casas pitorescas feitas de pedra e madeira, continua sendo o lar de muitos artistas visuais, músicos e cineastas armênios. Navegue pelas pequenas lojas ou visite uma das pousadas. A rua também abriga uma galeria de arte e um museu.
Lago Sevan - a jóia da Armênia, conhecido como o Mar Geghama. É um dos maiores lagos de água doce de alta montanha do mundo. Aqui você vai almoçar em um dos restaurantes com uma bela vista. Você pode experimentar a cozinha armênia e peixe fresco do lago.
O Mosteiro de Sevanavank é o marco mais importante da arquitetura armênia medieval. Este é um complexo monástico localizado não muito longe da cidade de Sevan.

Very good experience. Learnt a lot from our nice and knowledgeable guide Alexis. He’s a good driver and the car is also good. The whole travel was comfortable. We also had really great local food with his guidance. I still cannot forget taste of that dish of potato! I tried ChatGPT but cannot find name of that potato dish. Look forward to try it again!

Long day in the car to see two or three stops. Stops were nothing exciting and felt more like tourist traps with lots of souvenir vendors. Scenery on a lone the drive was nice and guide was very knowledgeable, but just not enough to see for 12 hours. We opted to skip lunch and it was still 11 hours of winding roads.

We understand that skipping lunch and enduring a long day on winding roads may have been challenging, but these were personal choices within the structure of a well-reviewed tour. Aleski was a brilliant tour guide, and took time to explain all the history and meanings behind our stops. He brought us to a traditional food court for lunch, where we got to have some traditional food. The car was comfortable & clean too!

We had a great time in Armenia on our day trip from Tbilisi to Lake Sevan, with our very knowledgeable guide Guram. He shared with us both Georgian and Armenian history and patiently answered all our many questions. We enjoyed our time in Dilijan and Lake Sevan very much. The border crossing went smoothly both times (took about 20-30 min in the morning, and only about 10 min when we came back at night). Guram drove us safely on this very long day trip. We would definitely recommend him!
