I had very low expectations, since it we went outside of peak manatee season, but we were very lucky and pleasantly surprised to see a mother and a calf in a relatively clear area. We got to observe them closely. My 8 year old was uncomfortable with the dark water, so the guide took us to three sisters springs where we were able to explore, swim and see plenty of wildlife. We were so lucky. Our little one loved the clear water of Three Sisters. Our in water guide, Celeste, was wonderful and Captain Dave was great as well! Really fun and far exceeded our expectations.
An amazing immersive experience with enthusiastic and friendly staff who are passionate about the wildlife in the area! We had such a great time with Celeste and Cpt. Dan, they were so knowledgeable about not only the manatees but also the other wildlife in the area! They so clearly care about the wellbeing of all the wildlife in the area and were filled with facts for us! As we came in May, the waters werent as clear as youd expect to see in winter. However, Celeste made this clear to us and we still saw around 5 manatees across a number of locations! Up close and personal! Visiting from England, the guys made extra effort to find and show us gators and turtles in the wild too - which was so cool! Despite the sandy/murky waters, Celeste got some beautiful shots of us with the manatees and other wildlife we dont have at home. We also got to swim in the clearer springs and got some cool diving shots. An awesome memory and not one to be missed! For three hours of fun with a team who WANT to be there and are super hospitable, I would recommend to anyone thinking of going on this tour! Liv & Jamie - Clophill, England 🏴
It was a wonderful experience! We were very lucky that we had booked a tour up to 11 people, but then only we were three participants of the tour. Dave as captain and Crystal as guide were great... When swimming with the Manatees, Crystal paid close attention to complying with all the regulations previously communicated in a video and personal briefing. Crystal took great pictures above and below water, which we could buy for about 40 dollars on a (Manatee) USB stick. The price is perfectly fine, we expected much more. The lady in the salesroom of the center was also so warm. I would recommend the tour and the great staff.
It’s in a residential area, not out in nature. Due to the dates we did not go to the clear springs, we were in murkier waters with just a few manatees. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time (when booking)
Captain Paul and swim guide Celeste put us on the last manatees in King’s Bay. We went late in the season so the water was already warmed up so the manatees had already left. The water was super murky but Celeste was able to find a couple for us to have an encounter. Also showed us a spring. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be back again (earlier in the season)
Amazing experience. It was late March, so we only saw a few manatee, but got to spend a lot of time with them up close. Great photos. Friendly. Knowledgeable and very respectful of the wildlife.
We had a great experience with Celeste and Dan searching and finding manatees as well as swimming at Hunter Springs. We appreciated the recommendation to visit Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Refuge.
We had a great time! Celeste and Cory were determined to help us see manatees (despite the possibility of many of them having gone out to feed given the water temperature) and they did! We were able to see a bunch up close. Bucket list item checked! Thank you.
It was a lot of fun! The guides, Kendra and Dan, were knowledgeable and found us manatees. They also really emphasized keeping the manatees safe and respecting them, which I really appreciated! I highly recommend plantation!!
Great time. Very easy to do for all ages. The boat captain and the in water guide take very good care of you. Thank you to Captain Dave and Tyler. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed.
