We took the half day tour to east bank Luxor. Our guide Salwa was amazing. She explained everything and answered all out questions. I went with my grandfather and we took our time to explore both Luxor and Karnak temple
Highly recommend our guide Salwa. She wa highly educated and informed and was clearly more knowledgeable than all of the guides we used with Viator on our 2 week trip in Egypt. She took her time, didn’t rush us or force us to go see shops or buy anything. Highly recommend this tour with Salwa.
Wonderful experience . Salwa was extraordinary at depicting all the history and symbolism and knowledge at both temples. Amazing experience I would totally recommend
Lovely half day Salwa covering Luxor and Karnak temples. The perfect pace and length after arriving from a late night flight. Plenty of free time at the end of each temple to explore. Well worth it.
Salwa showed us around and was an amazing tour guide. Was extremely formative and patient
Really bad experience with the company not answering my question since the day I booked the tour till the last days before Not an hint of organization in this tour with pick up time so early and the tour itself during just 2 hour and half Guide has just told what he like and believe , then asking me and annoying me with lots of questions about my religion and belief Felt like caming from a miserable colture
We had fantastic time with Salwa she waited for us in airport with the driver in comfy car. We received complimentary bottle of waters. The tour was very detailed and she told us so much information we enjoyed every minute! She was very friendly, and full of knowledge. We are family with 2 older teenagers and they also loved it ! We fully recommend her as guide and we wish to book with her again in future Martina and Hasan
Had a private tour with Bahgat via Emo Tours. Bahgat was very informative and friendly and we enjoyed both Karnak and Luxor temples tours very much. We would highly recommend.
Salwa was an awesome guide very helpful and a really good guide, very knowledgeable and got us quick trough the lines
This is exactly how tours should be! We booked only the day before, unsure of our timings, but absolutely hit the jackpot with our guide, Salwa from Emo Tours. Salwa was incredibly knowledgeable—explaining the history of each site, how everything fitted into wider Egyptian history, and pointing out architectural details, meanings of the friezes, materials used, and the relationships and stories behind what we were seeing. She gave us plenty of time for photos, never rushed us, and kept sharing insights as we moved through each area. Karnak Temple was our first stop, arriving nice and early to avoid the crowds and the heat. This meant amazing photo opportunities during the two-plus hours we spent exploring before heading to the much smaller Luxor Temple, with a quick visit to a herbs and spices shop en route. Karnak is simply breathtaking—the sheer scale, the age, and the condition of the surviving architecture are astonishing. You could wander happily for hours, but the beauty of this tour was truly understanding what we were looking at rather than drifting past things and missing their significance. Luxor Temple is smaller and features more varied architecture due to later additions and modifications. Still impressive in its own right, and we chose to stay on after the tour to walk part of the Avenue of the Sphinxes, which links both temples and is accessible with the same tickets. Salwa wasn’t just a guide; with her deep knowledge of the sites, Egyptian history, and excellent English, she was an educator in the very best way. We booked the driver and guide package and purchased our own entry tickets to keep costs manageable. The driver was pleasant, and his car was immaculate. Highly recommended & the highlight of our visit to Egypt so far!
