Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya) é uma catedral bizantina verdadeiramente inspiradora de 1.400 anos que abriga mosaicos, relíquias e trabalhos em ferro. Hagia Sophia foi, por quase mil anos, o maior espaço fechado do mundo, e ainda é visto como um dos monumentos arquitetônicos mais importantes do mundo. Mesquita Azul (Mesquita Sultanahmet - Camii) construída durante o reinado do Sultão Ahmet I durante 1609-1616. É a única mesquita da Turquia com seis minaretes. Devido aos seus magníficos azulejos de Iznik azuis, verdes e brancos tingidos à mão, foi chamado de "Mesquita Azul" pelos europeus. A cúpula central tem 43 m de altura e 33,4 m de diâmetro; também possui 260 janelas.
O Grande Bazar (Kapali Carsi) é um dos maiores e mais antigos mercados cobertos do mundo, com mais de 58 ruas cobertas e mais de 1.200 lojas. Inaugurado em 1461, é conhecido por suas joalherias, cerâmicas, especiarias e lojas de tapetes. Muitas das barracas do bazar são agrupadas por tipo de mercadoria, com áreas especiais para casacos de couro, joias de ouro e afins. O bazar contém dois bedestens (estruturas de alvenaria abobadadas construídas para armazenamento e guarda), o primeiro dos quais foi construído entre 1455 e 1461 pela ordem do Sultão Mehmed, o Conquistador. O grande bazar é composto por 12 edifícios principais e tem 22 portas.

I was on a long transit and decided to do a tour. I did not regret it. My tour guide Emre ÖNAL was well spoken in English and spot on with time management. He was also knowledgeable. If I had stayed longer would have definitely booked more experiences with the same company. Most importantly, as a woman traveling alone I felt exceptionally safe with Emre. Thank you!! Will be booking more trips on my next trip to Istanbul :-)

The walking tour is spectacular but be prepared to walk and don’t wear shorts. The guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. It’s a great tour! Highly recommended

Absolutely recommended!!!!!After initial difficulties (had problems with the meeting point -Ali was waiting for us though! ) we had an individual eventful tour! In addition to the sights, we also saw a pottery and had an insight into the carpet weave. Our guide Ali is highly recommended, has a great knowledge and many insider tips!
