Half day gives just overall understanding of the city. Full day or even 2 is needed to catch and cover all the places around. Best comments and greetings to my guide Mohand Alfarsi. He did his best to make us happy.
Ali was very accommodating with our time and choices of stops. We did this during our 14 hour stop-over.
The company were very accommodating of our request as I made changes to the pick up location and time. The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. Took us to all the sights and it was a shame as the market was closed during Friday afternoon and the mosque was closed too but we tour the grounds
We had a long layover in Muscat so booked a city tour. It was a great way to see the city and we enjoyed our experience. Our driver made it an easy process meeting us at the airport and dropping us back there
Avoid . Mosque closed, opera house closed, driver did not speak English. Had to pay entry to museum!
Our driver didn’t turn up and I waited 45min and contacted Viator who were very helpful and tried to call the tour operator - who hadn’t listed his phone number anywhere and didn’t answer. They gave me his phone number and I called 3 times, also no answer so I messaged them. I got an answer saying the car had broken down and still coming but I had booked a taxi by then. They still wanted to pick us up so I said they could meet us at the first planned stop and take over from there - to which they replied “No” . I do not believe the story about the broken down car. The whole thing was a fiasco and now I’m waiting for Viator to assess if qualifies for a refund.
We had a 6-hour layover in Muscat and booked a tour for the morning and it was a good experience. Our driver, Monther, was fantastic Super friendly, professional, and right on time. He made sure we saw as much as possible, including the Grand Mosque, Mutrah Souq, the Corniche, and more and even helped with bargaining at the souq! The car was clean and comfortable, and we felt well looked after the whole time. Highly recommend this tour if you have a layover in Muscat rather than wasting time in the airport as we were picked up and dropped off right on time Definitely Recommend!
