Wonderful excursion! Our guide, Alexis, was great - very knowledgeable, willing to let us stick around to watch some dolphins rather than keep to a strict schedule, and very helpful. The tour was perfect in length and what you were able to experience along the way. We got to enjoy a beautiful morning on the water, see some wildlife, and learn about the St Augustine ecosystem. Would definitely do again!
Very nice kayak paddle into the salt marsh. Guide Curt was very conscientious of our safety and comfort. Knowledgeable about the area and wildlife.
Great experience with a very knowledgeable guide, Curt. Got to see lots of dolphins, turtles and birds. Just what we were looking for in this activity. We got a great view of St Augustine from the water.
Easy access not too physically challenging. If you have a shoulder injury it might be a little challenging. We got to see dolphins jumping around our boat and manatees swimming by.
Curt was an excellent guide - his calm and patient demeanor was so appreciated while he was giving us the tutorial on how to pilot the kayaks. As a 50 yr old woman, with two new knees (last year), Curt made me feel very safe getting into and out of the kayak. The kayaks were two person, open boats that were very stable and easy to pilot. We had a 7 person group, so one person joined Curt on his kayak and one person went solo. Lifejackets were provided. Curt was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and landmarks, as well as the places to eat in St. Augustine. The tour was timed well - 2 hours was just the right amount of time. Thank you, Curt, for sharing your time with us!
I lived in St. Augustine for about four years and I returned many years later with my husband for a weekend. This is by far the coolest and most peaceful thing I’ve done in the city. It was the very end of January so I expected to see very little wildlife but I was so surprised! We saw dolphins and tons of very cool birds. This was the highlight of our weekend, I can’t recommend it enough!
Had an awesome Kayak adventure with Curt. He was super knowledgeable about both the wildlife and the history of the area and gave us a great tour. We saw a ton of different birds as well as dolphins very close! I took my mother who is in her 70s and it was very easy to get in and out of the kayak, the dock they have is really cool and makes it simple. Overall it was a lovely trip and I'm really glad I booked it.
Tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The owner worked with me to make sure the experience was what I wanted (dolphins not guaranteed, of course). Enjoyed the focus on education, nature and ecology. Would do this every time I travel to St Augustine.
We've been visiting St. Augustine for more than 20 years and have never taken a kayak tour. This tour company was featured on a recent Samantha Brown 'Places To Love' episode. The tour did not disappoint. We were lucky enough to be the only couple for the tour that day. Our guide was great. Water and weather were pleasant, and we saw a manatee. Next time we visit, we may consider the boat tour.
An amazing time !!!! Izzie was cool as hell & awesome at explaining kayaking process as well as very knowledgeable about nature and Saint augastine history. With her A+ personality it made my daughter, her boyfriend, and myself feel like we were kayaking with another friend or family member. I mainly wanted to do this experience to see if I enjoyed kayaking for a good workout as well as to be outside in the sun and nature …. I got all of the above as well as more than expected. Looking into purchasing my own kayak to now for sure to enjoy the water, sun, and to try and stay healthy !!!
