A viagem Guba-Shahdag é uma viagem pela parte europeia do Azerbaijão. Ao longo do Mar Cáspio, ao longo da planície de Samur-Divichinsky, existe uma estrada que leva os turistas em semi-expresso às montanhas do norte do Cáucaso. Uma viagem a uma das estações de esqui mais populares do Azerbaijão, localizada na montanha Shahdag, é uma viagem pelas vastas estepes e pelas deslumbrantes montanhas nevadas.

Dirigindo pela rodovia M1 que liga a capital do Azerbaijão às maiores cidades da Rússia, você verá a montanha Beshbarmak, localizada perto da costa do Mar Cáspio. Beshbarmak é um local de peregrinação para a população local e graças à sua altura e forma tem sido um excelente ponto de referência para os marinheiros desde a antiguidade. O lugar sagrado “Pir Hydyr Zundzha” está localizado no sopé da montanha Beshbarmag, onde os viajantes param para realizar orações e adoração. Seu guia profissional contará as histórias míticas associadas a este lugar.
Um dos trechos de estrada mais bonitos do Azerbaijão se estende por cerca de 40 quilômetros da rodovia Guba-Baku, a oeste, em direção à vila montanhosa de Altiaghaj. Aproximadamente a meio caminho entre os dois, passa-se por um vale dramático flanqueado por montanhas de xisto, cujos surpreendentes redemoinhos vermelhos, laranja, rosa e cor de giz levaram o escritor de viagens britânico Mark Elliott (autor do muito popular guia do 'Azerbaijão') a apelidá-los de as Candy Cane Mountains, um nome que permanece entre os viajantes desde então. Diz-se que as cores surpreendentes se devem às águas subterrâneas que alteraram o estado de oxidação dos compostos de ferro dentro da rocha.
O próximo destino será a cidade de Guba, que está localizada em uma das mais belas paisagens naturais do Azerbaijão. No caminho para Guba, nossos hóspedes visitarão o assentamento único de judeus nas montanhas, a "Jerusalém Caucasiana" - a Cidade Vermelha. A aldeia possui 13 sinagogas, entre as quais duas estão em funcionamento. Cerca de 4 a 5 mil judeus vivem em Qirmizi Qesebe, que é um símbolo do pluralismo no Azerbaijão e um símbolo de paz e harmonia entre as diferentes religiões.
Qechresh é uma das maiores aldeias da região de Guba. A área é coberta por floresta por todos os lados. Qechresh é famosa por suas fontes e plantas naturais. Ao longo da estrada existem áreas de lazer e restaurantes onde você pode saborear a culinária local.

O último ponto da excursão será o Shahdagh Mountain Resort Complex, que está localizado na cidade de Qusar. Eles podem desfrutar lá com diferentes atrações de inverno. Há atividades como roller coaster, carrinho de cabo, linha zip, e carros ATV.

We had such a fun trip with our guide Yusif! We visited the Candy Cane Mountains, had a great lunch in Guba, and then headed up to Shahdag which everybody needs to visit when coming to Azerbaijan. Even though it started raining a lot in the mountains, Yusif kept the trip enjoyable and made sure we didn’t miss out. He also took amazing photos of us, which made the day even more special. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing one-day tour to Shahdag today with our guide Mr Murad. Everything was perfectly organized — from transportation to sightseeing — and we truly enjoyed every moment. Candy cane mountain stop timing was ok and the mountains were beautiful, great place for insta photos. Stop at Guba shouldve been shorter, the main restaurant was bad and their food was not good at all. Toilets were not good at Guba and at the stop before jn the market! Saving the extra time spent in Guba couldve made it possible for us to try all the rides at Shadag, have better food options, shisha and enjoy the beautiful green mountains! I also bought my tickets with access to the rides and i discovered there that i have to pay for the zipline separately! I couldnt make it to the roller coaster because of the long queue at the zipline so i ended up losing tickets for 2! Toilets at the stop after Shahdag were not good, ladies cannot use them! We were lucky with the tour guide, Dianara, a very sweet girl kept us all entertained. I recommend group option as the trip is too long!

The guide is very friendly and cheerful. We spent many hours on the old mini van, which can be quite uncomfortable if you have car sickness as it is going up and down of a mountain, and it is stuffy and squeezy for 10 passengers and 1 driver to be in a mini van (I was sitting facing the opposite direction throughout the ride). Unfortunately it rained when we reached Shahdag mountain resort and had to do all the activities in the rain, and we were all wet and cold. We booked for an all inclusive tour so lunch was included. It was a big and quiet restaurant which served us very delicious food.

This trip was alot of fun. Our guide Leyla was very energetic and clear while explaining about the places. Also, the roller coaster in Shahdaq is a must 🎢
