Did a wonderful day with Paul. Started off with beautiful weather and then it got foggy so we missed a few of the spots due to the fog. However Paul was very entertaining and very helpful in pointing out the pros and cons as we travelled to each location. Beautiful and clear for us when we got to the Giants Causeway which was the main event for my wife and myself. What we really enjoyed was Pauls in depth knowledge in explaining the history of each area as we travelled along and he threw a good few "gotcha" jokes which were great fun. Super patient and very diligent in ensuring we were looked after. So very satisfied with the day. Very enjoyable and we'd recommend McCombs going forward for anyone we know looking to do this kind of tour !
A packed tour with lots of information and lovely places to see. The Giants Causeway is definitely a highlight.
Thanks for sharing! Delighted with your feedback
Absolutely great tour, took in loads of have of thrones site and the giants causeway. Ray our driver was really knowledgeable and gave us a thorough tour of everything and more to do with the areas we were driving. I would highly recommend this for seeing the coast route and associated sites.
We appreciate your review! Thank you for sharing with us. So pleased all we have on offer was enjoyed
Fantastic experience, highly recommended, our guide Karl gave a lot of insights and recommendations!
Thanks for such a brilliant recommendation!
We had a great day out. The Causeway Coast was simply stunning. Time in each location was good. The extra information/tales from The Game of Thrones was appreciated as well as the banter.
Thank you for sharing your positivity!
This excursion was 9 hours of fun and something we won't forget! We saw so much of Northern Ireland's Antrim County from the iconic Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (from a distance), Dark Hedges, and the historic Old Bushmills Distillery (an unexpected bonus stop). Patrick was our driver and guide. He was an outstanding driver, friendly, and very entertaining throughout the entire tour. He was knowledgeable about the folklore, history of Northern Ireland, and Game of Thrones. He made sure each stop was smooth and that everyone knew what they were about to see, how long we would be there, and where to find food, drinks, and the toilets. We had a group of 55 people, and he always made sure we all were back on the bus before continuing to the next destination. Our last stop had one guy (who was lots of fun) not show up for 10 minutes past our leave time. Patrick waited and went out to look for him before arranging with another McComb's driver, who followed us most of the day, to take him back to Belfast. The lunch at Fullerton Arms was perfectly set up, and the food was delicious. There was a menu displayed on the bus, and you took a picture of it, and then we told Patrick what we wanted. He then relayed it to the restaurant. When we arrived at Fullerton Arms, our food came out not much later, which was great because we didn't waste time putting in an order and waiting for our food. The Fullerton Arms building even had one of the "Doors of Thrones". I didn't realize these existed, so thank you, Patrick, for pointing these out. They are stunning, wooden carved doors from the fallen Dark Hedge trees during the 2016 storm. If you are staying in Belfast, stop by the Visit Belfast Center near City Hall. They have a passport booklet with all the "Doors of Thrones". They were out of stock when I went to get one, but a PDF was available online. We will definitely add them to our next visit to Northern Ireland! A lot of time was spent on the bus, but the drive was very scenic and probably one of the best views I have had while on a day tour bus. We also lucked out because the weather was absolutely perfect. Overall, this was a well-organized tour, and the price was great for the distance covered and the sights seen while relaxing and meeting fellow travelers and GoT fans.
Wow! Thanks for sharing your positivity and brilliant review. It is wonderful to know you enjoyed everything we have on offer - We look forward to welcoming you again in the future
Overall was a good trip. Patrick was knowledgeable and provided historical background throughout. Seats on the bus were very small and cramped. We were the only ones on the bus who were told to bring our seat backs up no one else was. The bus started boarding earlier than listed and departed earlier. The tour being a full day tour was rushed due to time constraints which is understandable, but you only get a quick glimpse of some of the points of interest.
We appreciate hearing your review! It is unfortunate you found seating cramped on a luxury coach. Consideration for everyone on board is paramount. McCombs are not responsible for passengers behind, requesting your seat be in the upright position. Staff are outside doing check-in from 8am. Coaches are boarded and will depart when they are ready! Most often, there is more than one coach travelling. The final coach will depart at 8:30am. We find timings work well for the majority, however all feedback is valuable! Thanks for sharing
Patrick our driver made the trip both interesting with pertinent historical facts but also humour, which was much needed on return as nearly everyone on the bus got caught in an enormous downpour and we're soaked to the skin! Fabulous trip, with great scenery and timely stops, very well organised and great communication. Lunch was booked ahead by Patrick (that's separate to the trip and optional),it was so organised and tasty. Highly recommend using this company, especially Patrick as your driver!
Thank you for sharing such positivity! It is great to know you enjoyed your day with us.
I would recommend to sleep in hotel rather than going on this horrible tour. It’s not at all family friendly, the hostess at the start was like if you have child sit behind as if it’s an issue to travel with child. Horrible experience started when our child fell in the bus and was bleeding. We can down to get first aid and driver said ‘I have to go to next stop, if you want to wait for first aid I will offload your push chair’. He just removed it and left. The whole point of tour for driver was to just finish it soon, you enjoy it or not it’s not his concern!
Thanks for taking the time to share your review. It must be noted - All those travelling with an infant are asked to sit from middle of the coach, onwards. This is to ensure babies making noise are not picked up on the microphone and projected through the speakers. On a guided tour, it is essential all passengers can clearly hear the commentary, without being intercepted by the fussing of a child. This polite request is most often respected and appreciated by everyone on board. All coaches carry First Aid Kits. Drivers are there to assist with passengers requirements and any injuries. This cannot be fulfilled if they are unaware or you decide to depart the tour - They relay that a nappy change was requested, after the scheduled departure time from Bushmills Distillery. When they explained the facilities at next stop is close by, your family made the decision to leave the tour. The driver obliged your request and helped retrieve the belongings. There was no report of injuries or help being needed. This is reflected by, no accident reports. Misunderstanding each other may be the explanation, however we do not accept our driver knowingly left a family with an injured child. Kind Regards
We always book with Viator whether in Reykjavik Chicago or Belfast. This Game of Thrones tour was excellent, all the stops included were great and the weather was kind.
We are delighted to know you enjoyed all we have on offer!
