The company operating this tour have little disregard for their customers. The tour guide spoke about ten words to us the whole day and just sat playing on her phone the whole time. She even sat with us at lunch and watch videos out loud making us feel uncomfortable. You’re dropped at ferry port and given tickets to make the journey yourself, however they don’t tell you that you have to pay a cash fee to enter the port itself leaving us stranded and searching for a cash machine. When we returned back to the port at the end of the day the driver was not there and the tour operator became a little abusive when contacted about this. The tour itself is fairly much sitting on a tourist boat having a buffet lunch with nothing much to see. We also visited the chocolate mountains for 15 mins - the guide couldn’t even tell us why they were called the chocolate mountains. The reason I have two stars is because the driver in Bohol was brilliant but severely let down by the quality of the tour operator and the tour guide. I asked for a partial refund at the end and the operator refused. I would strongly suggest you avoid this tour and book something with a reputable company instead.
Overall good experience. Josie my tour guide was very knowledgable not only on the specific attractions of the tour, but about the history of the whole island. Pointing out various stuff during the ride between each attraction. Mother nature put a damper on the experience as it rained while at chocolate hills. View of the hills were gloomy and not as clear and beautiful as seen in pics. No fault to the tour agency. Mother nature to blame. It wasnt disclosed that we would have to pay terminal fees when riding the ferry. It was only 25pesos each terminal so its no big deal, not a problem. I just thought the tour was all inclusive. What if i didnt bring any money? Although its just a tiny bit of money, it should be more transparent on what u will be paying. Also there was a change of drivers going back to hotel from the ferry terminal. I was waiting to be picked up at the same location where i was dropped off. The new driver was waiting somewhere else. I was not informed of different pickup location. Few phone calls to my guide and old driver, i was able to find the driver. Other than that. It would be 5 stars
Thank you very much. See you again soon
A 2 hour ferry ride from Cebu to Bohol (thats 4 hours r/t in a day, that was the toughest part.) Upon arrival we were met with tourguide Jo Jo who was a walking encyclopedia of Bohol knowledge and customs. She was great at pointing out facts and little secrets which made the tour a more enjoyable. The sights we saw were beatiful and we saw quite a bit without feeling rushed or in a canned tour. The chocolate hills were a nice sight but my favorite was the Mahoghany forest. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a day trip as it was packed with wonderful sights and spread out in a non rushed, well planned day.
It was supposed to be a whole day-trip. But since we were not informed that we should precent our vaxcard, we missed out riverboattrip. Te ticket boat was not prepared. Luckily our only interrest was to see the chocolate hills. Our guide was very good, and so was the driver.
Thank you very much for your feedback, we truly appreciate and hoping to see you again soon
