Let's start with Remco: Easy to communicate with; very responsive. Most enthusiastic and energetic guide we've ever encountered! Treated us like we were school buddies from the past - super friendly and engaging! He knows Amsterdam! Gave us all the history from past to present in an interactive manner - we were involved in the tour from start to finish. He made the tour for US - he adapted to our pace and interests and fulfilled all of our requests. The tour: we saw amazing places that were definitely off the beaten path. From the farm tour where they made cheeses and wooden shoes (quite a combination!), to a small fishing village where we sampled local snacks, to a view of traditional and modern windmills. And (of course) a driving tour of the city too. When we return to Amsterdam, there is no need to look for anyone else - Remco IS our guide!

The private car tour of Amsterdam with Remco was all I could ask for and then some. Toured downtown and out in the country side. Got to see how the wooden shoes are made as well as Dutch cheese. Remco is very knowledgeable, friendly and energetic. A must if you want to learn about the area

Fantastic…. Absolutely fantastic. Our guide Remco born and raised in Amsterdam. What a better person to spend the day with! He not only showed us the city and shared his knowledge but took us outside of the hustle and bustle to the country side, where we had a true look at country life in Holland. He picked us up right at our hotel and delivered us safely back. You cannot go wrong with this tour specifically with Remco. Did I mention his terrific sense of humour? Many laughs were had with this guy! Thanks a million our new friend!

Remco was an excellent guide. We visited both countryside and the city over the course of about four hours. Overall, the tour was a great introduction to the city and its people and a great experience!

By far the best layover tour I have experienced. There are many benefits by doing this private tour as you make it your own. Here are some key benefits: 1. Airport Transfer: tour guide was able to pick us up at the terminal. 2. Tour flexibility: we had a 6 hour layover and we wanted a 2-3 hour tour to be able to make it back on time and avoid missing our flight. He based the price on the total tour time which was very convenient for us. 3. Customizable: Remco have us the opportunity to make the tour our own. We decided where to go and key places we wanted to see. We also asked for suggestions and he was able to make all of our requests happen within the 2-3 hour period. If you are going to Amsterdam, make sure to book a tour with Remco. He knows his country, history, best places to go, and you are able to customize the tour in a way that is unique and you can make it your own. I typically don’t like going on tours because the agenda has been set for you. This is way different and I am glad I did the layover tour because I was able to experience the main areas of the country so then I can return and know what I am doing.
