O Monte Takao é o ponto de escalada mais popular na área de Kanto, localizado cerca de 50 quilômetros a oeste do centro da cidade. É uma maravilhosa montanha que foi incluída na Guia Verde Michelin Japão em 2007, juntamente com o Monte Fuji. Parte do Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park, oferece caminhadas de montanha descontraídas adequadas mesmo para uma viagem de um dia. A montanha tem sido especialmente importante para os Japonês desde 744, quando o imperador Shomu ordenou a criação de Yakushiji, um famoso templo, encorajando os seguidores a visitar. Conhecido como um dos melhores pontos de vista de Tóquio, a ponte de observação oferece uma vista panorâmica da planície de Kanto, com arranha-céus na distância. O Monte Takao é considerado uma montanha sagrada e é um local de culto há mais de 1000 anos. No caminho para a montanha, você passará pelo Templo Yakuo-in, onde poderá orar aos deuses xintoístas-budistas da montanha (tengu) por boa sorte.
As trilhas variam em dificuldade, desde caminhantes fáceis até sérios, então deixe seu guia saber o que você prefere. Desça a montanha a pé ou de teleférico ou elevador de cadeira (o elevador de cadeira não tem barra de segurança, então esteja preparado para segurar firmemente!). Então aliviar seus músculos cansados em uma fonte quente relaxante. Experimente piscinas sazonais, como o "baño de Sakura" rosa, bem como várias piscinas quentes ao ar livre. Se você tiver tempo após o onsen, o Guia lhe mostrará por toda a cidade. Você pode ver todas as lojas antigas nostálgicas. Com 599m de altura, Mt. It is a hike to get up to the top, but the hard work is worth it, the views are jaw dropping. Our guide, Terry, was so fun and made the day incredibly memorable. This was one of the highlights of our Japan trip.

I had a really lovely day; it was a busy day, as it was a public holiday, but the weather was perfect so we had a spectacular view of Mount Fuji, from the summit of Mount Takosan. Keita, my guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating; we went to the monkey park instead of the Onsen, and he took me to the fire ceremony in the temple. A very nice hike up Mt Takosan, visiting a temple and participating in a fire ceremony on the way to the top. It was beautiful day so I had a spectacular view of Mt Fuji that was so much better than expected. My guide was brilliant, very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable. Definitely a trip worth doing!

Yuki was an excellent hike guide. She tailored the hike to our preferences (slightly harder route), and taught us a lot about the flora, Japanese religions, culture and customs along the way. Would recommend to anyone, as the hike can also be made easier with different route choices.

Our hike up Mount Takao with Maki was a fantastic experience. She was incredibly informative about the different routes to the summit and helped us choose the best one for us. Along the way, she shared insights about the things we saw, adding so much depth and meaning to the hike. Maki also gave us great recommendations for other things to do after we finished, which helped us make the most of our time in the area. We had a great time with our guide Maki :) It was nice to get out of the hustle of the city and appreciate Japan's beautiful scenery. The itinerary was paced well and gave lots of time to enjoy the different attractions. Maki made sure we had time to rest and appreciate the views throughout the hike and she gave us some interesting information about the Yakuouin temple and the practices there. She made sure we were well taken care of even when the onsen was closed unexpectedly :)

Mt Takao your was amazing. We choose to do the nature tour which was really worth it then cable car back down. K who was our guide was full of knowledge, English speaking was great also made the tour very relaxing. Really nice sitting for lunch and talking more. It’s a must do… 👍

Keita made the very strenuous excursion very good he was e extremely patience with us - the views we got when reaching the summit were amazing - the extreme climb walking up to it was challenging but we did it / Keita took time to tell Us the history of it all as we went along - we were lucky to see the religious ceremony at the Tenple which we thoroughly enjoyed - our lunch together was great - Then Keita es ported us back to our Hotel - we wish him all the best with his Tourist Guiding and would highly recommend him to our friends
