Ayutthaya Sunset Ride é uma divertida excursão de bicicleta de 3 a 4 horas para permitir que os participantes admirem as lindas ruínas do templo após o pôr do sol, uma experiência única! Todos os templos parecem ser mais mágicos à noite e esta incrível aventura de bicicleta dá aos participantes uma perspectiva muito diferente sobre os templos arruinados. Este é o lugar onde começamos e terminamos nossos passeios. Depois de selecionar bicicletas adequadas e ajustar o assento, nós lhe daremos instruções e um capacete de bicicleta (se preferir) e lá vamos nós.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet (tailandês: Temple พระ ศรี สรร เพ ช ญ์; "Templo do Santo, Esplêndido Onisciente") foi o templo mais sagrado no local do antigo Palácio Real na antiga capital tailandesa de Ayutthaya até que a cidade foi completamente destruída por os birmaneses em 1767. Era o maior e mais belo templo da capital e serviu de modelo para Wat Phra Kaew em Bangkok.
Wat Mahathat, "o templo da Grande Relíquia", foi um dos mais importantes templos do reino de Ayutthaya. Localizado na ilha histórica, o grande mosteiro possui uma enorme prang central, um viharn e ubosot muito grandes e um grande número de chedis e viharns subsidiários. A parte superior de seu maciço prang central entrou em colapso. Hoje apenas a base permanece. Um dos objetos mais fotografados do templo é a cabeça de uma imagem de Buda de pedra entrelaçada nas raízes de uma árvore.
Wat Lokaya Sutha é uma enorme ruína do templo. Está alinhado em direção a um eixo leste / oeste. O mosteiro foi fortemente restaurado, incluindo pisos e pisos de tijolos por toda parte. A maior parte do templo existe apenas no nível básico da fundação. Isso inclui alguns fragmentos de pilares e paredes básicas. Na entrada oriental estão os restos de três vihans. Por trás desses salões de sermões há um grande período de 30 metros de altura, o final do Ayutthaya, o estilo Khmer. Esta torre tem uma entrada oca no lado leste. Os restos de um ubsot podem ser vistos atrás do prang. Apenas a camada básica da fundação sobreviveu, mas existem muitas pedras sema e os detritos das imagens de Buda. Um grande campanário fica no canto sudoeste deste ubosot. O destaque deste templo é a sua enorme imagem reclinada de Buda (37 metros de comprimento e 8 metros de altura), localizada atrás do ubosot.
Ayuthaya é famosa por seus doces lanches muçulmanos, curry e mergulho picante, e o movimentado mercado secreto de Chao Phrom é o lugar para encontrá-los, além de variados pratos tailandês-chineses e outros muçulmanos. O horário de funcionamento deste mercado diurno depende de fornecedores individuais, mas está no auge durante o início da tarde.

You drive a lot along the highway where cars rush by. There was only 1 guide. She was leading the way and didn't look back. Sometimes I stayed a bit behind and hoped to catch up again. She had a bike with a lot of gears. I asked if it could be slowed down, but we were in a hurry. (It was 32 degrees though) All in all I thought it was irresponsible and irresponsible. Glad I wasn't with my son. The guide was nice but rode ahead and didn't see if we followed.

Om een persoonlijke ervaring te waarborgen, hebben we ervoor gekozen om met één gids te werken, wat voor een kleinere groep als de uwe normaal gesproken voldoende is. Het is echter belangrijk om te horen dat dit niet aan uw verwachtingen voldeed. Wat betreft het tempo en de communicatie met de gids, begrijpen we dat dit voor u een punt van frustratie was. We zullen deze feedback zeker bespreken met ons team, zodat we de aandacht en het tempo van onze gidsen kunnen verbeteren. We had a wonderful evening on this tour. Our lovely guide Bella took us safely around the town visiting many sites at night. Our guide was knowledgeable and showed us a great time. It was so nice being abke to see the Wats when it was quiet. The cycling was easy and the meal at the end was great. Fantastic night with Bella.

We had an amazing time cycling through town with Bella! The office where you meet up is a little bit out of the way but you can get there easily by Grab or tuk tuk (or motorbike if you have one). Once we arrived we were greeted by Bella and it turned out we were the only ones who booked that night, so it turned into a private cycling tour. We first took the ferry across the river which was really cool and cycled around until we arrived at Wat Mahathat, we then continued on for a stroll around the night market and tasted a few local snacks/appetisers which were all great! After this we continued Wat Phra Ram and Wat Phra Si Sanphet before we stopped at a very local spot for dinner. Bella ordered a hunch of dishes for us to try and all of them were very delicious and we had never tried before. We were also the only foreigners in this place which tells you how local it was, we absolutely loved this! After dinner we finished the tour by cycling back to the office. All in all this was an amazing experience and a huge thanks to Bella for making this tour so enjoyable. Just be aware that since this is in the evening the Wats will be closed so you'll enjoy them from outside the grounds, which is still very impressive. Highly recommended doing this tour to give you a different perspective of the city at night.

The bikes were in great condition. Our guide was really knowledgeable and personable. We saw some amazing sites, and a particular highlight was standing at the top of one of the temples, as the sunset, as the bats were flying out of the temple en masse! Just stunning!
