Excursão de bicicleta de dia inteiro a Gallipoli e arredores
Descrição
Gallipoli e o seu interior ainda conservam vestígios da riqueza que o comércio de óleo para lâmpadas gerou durante séculos. A primeira parada é em Alezio para uma degustação em uma fazenda de queijos, depois seguimos para Tuglie para o incrível Museu da Rádio (todos os itens, inclusive os telégrafos, ainda estão em funcionamento!) ou para o Museu da Vida Rural. Voltando ao litoral, na Reserva Natural Porto Selvaggio fazemos um piquenique (não incluído) à sombra do pinhal e, para quem quiser, um refrescante mergulho nas frescas águas da nascente. No regresso a Gallipoli paramos em Santa Caterina para provar um dos melhores gelados da região (são especializados em “pistácios salgados”, “amêndoas e figos” e “creme de chocolate”). Chegamos a Gallipoli ao pôr do sol.

Começamos aqui e terminamos aqui. Gallipoli é uma vila de pescadores, que teve sua glória graças à exportação de azeite que na época medieval não era vendido para fins alimentícios, mas por outro motivo e vamos deixar você descobrir qual!
Faremos uma paragem nesta pequena aldeia para visitar o lagar subterrâneo do século XVII.
Ao longo de estradas secundárias, entre oliveiras e construções locais de pedra seca (trulli e pajare), chegaremos a Galatone com seu imponente castelo normando, a Igreja do Crucifixo - obra-prima do estilo barroco de Leccese - e o palácio nobre.
Porto Selvaggio, é um parque natural bem preservado com águas límpidas onde é impossível não pular! Existem fontes de água de nascente que se misturam com a água do mar. Paramos para um mergulho e uma pausa para o almoço.

Beautiful experience, distances too long for me as I am not athletic.

Excellent six days' cycling from Lecce with a circular inland and along coast to Gallipoli. GPS navigation very good and lots of opportunities to experience the culture of Puglia as well as take a rest over lunch or enjoy a swim. We are both over seventy ,and though challenging at times , with reasonable level of fitness, we managed the average of 40 miles approx cycling per day . Accommodation throughout was excellent, attentive hosts on hand, plus an excellent briefing before we set out. Salento Bici Tours provided excellent bikes, advice and support throughout our trip.

We were a group of 10/13 people composed of children and adults, we did more than one excursion with Carlo and his collaborators. Unforgettable day with a group of friends for my bachelor party. We wanted to do some activities rather than the usual relaxation by the sea and couldn't have a better idea. The tour is very easy, all flat and most of the time spread over almost deserted roads. The bikes were brand new and kept very well, comfortable even the bags available to put inside any object. The guide Giulia is fantastic, very nice, connoisseur of the place and attentive manager of the group. The stop at the DonnAnna estate will remain in my heart forever, I expected something "commercial" for the average tourist instead I had to change my mind and we all enjoyed an incredible Processing from morning until evening
