We were so lucky (timing) with our tour. The tour guides work closely with the Tortuguero Canal Boat captains. The boat captains are so experienced and skillful, they know how to deliver a once in a lifetime experience. They (also) know where and what is happening on the canal. Our Guide said that ‘we’ saw more in 90 minutes than normally you expect to see in 2 weeks.
many thanks
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the canal and other stops. Eduardo was a great guide and we learned a lot. We even stopped at a local man’s property with a sloth in a cacao tree. We were able to get very close. Lunch at a beach was very good. We highly recommend this tour.
We had a great time. My dad was struggling with his copd and the guides were more than helpful and accommodating. Lunch was super yummy, chicken, rice and beans and salad. Oh and a great not too sweet fresh fruit smoothie. I would recommend and would use theresa tours again.
Had a fab boat tour and saw all the animals that we wanted to including Sloths and 3 breeds of monkeys in the trees and crocodiles in the water. An amazing way to spend a few hours. Would definitely recommend.
We were given excellent directions as to where to meet and Eduardo had our name posted. Excellent tour and highly recommended. We went on a duvet boat and had an excellent meal.
Happened to meet both Eduardo (owner) and the guide Rupert exiting the cruise ship terminal area just as their instructions. Pick up and drop off was great (even though it seemed we were late getting off the ship due to the crowd). We rarely use cruise-line excursions. They are expensive and crowded. Rupert was the best. He stopped at other local spots (not specified in excursion) to see plants and animals and even to a market. All the locals apparently liked Rupert and we felt very safe. He was very informed on land and on the canal and a personable guy as well. We spent less money and got a private tour with an awesome guide.

Great guide. Nice small tour of only 4. Van was nice. Felt like just a nice drive with a local. Great lunch was included. N

Despite arriving 2 hours later as planned, Rupert warmly welcomed us. He had an eye for spotting animals and gave us detailed explanations about trees, fruit and other products at a fruit stall, and let us taste everything! We saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and many beautiful birds and waterfowl. The sailing was relaxed with a small group in the boat. At 1 o'clock he takes us to the highest point and we have a view over the harbor where our cruise ship is moored. A delicious Costa Rican meal is served. We welcome Trip Advisor. We thank Rupert very much for the nice day we had, greetings Bert, Jaap and Ineke.

Guide very knowledgeable. Would be more interesting to learn about the banana plantations and how they operate. We had to ask for a ride through the city. Overall a good tour.
