This was an amazing day packed with great experiences learning about the Dominican culture. Our guide, Darwin, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, super friendly and an all around wonderful guide. We visited a local souvenir shop, beautiful church, a vibrant fresh air market to see how the locals shop, a personal residence/cocoa & coffee production business, an authentic lunch they was not only delicious but was an all you can eat buffet with great service (Darwin supplied the delicious avocado) a cigar making operation (such a cool experience rolling our own cigar!) and the souvenir shops their had the best prices we found, and lastly the Macao beach (despite the seaweed, it was relaxing and beautiful). Our guide, Darwin, kept us moving along and engaged by providing information about the area, the history and what the future was held. The tour started with an early pick up at our resort (7am) and ended with our return to our resort at 3pm. There was never a dull moment. It was easily the BEST experience in the DR during our trip! I would highly recommend this tour.
We made a stop at each of the places listed and was educated on cocoa, was able to make our own cigars, had a good buffet selection for lunch, picked fresh fruit, & so much more ! It was amazing
We had a great time on our Dominican Republic cultural tour with Wester. We loved how it was just a small group and included so many experiences. It was the perfect way to get out of the resort and learn about the Dominican Republic.
Wester was a great guide. You see many different things in this tour and you learn about Dominican culture.
This is a must do experience! It was really nice way to immerse yourself in Dominican culture and history. Francisco was an absolutely fantastic guide, he was very knowledgeable and communicated every step of the way. An absolute must do! Add this do your list if you’re looking for a cultural tour to do
We had such a great time on this excursion. I feel like it’s a great way to see more of the country and experience a bunch of different aspects of the culture. Francisco was our tour guide and he was so awesome. He watched out for our safety and made us laugh for hours.
Our guide was Teo, very knowledgeable good sense of humor
This tour is definitely worth the money!! Robinson and Sandy were amazing tour guides. Me and my family really enjoyed it to the fullest. Robinson is hilarious and such a nice guy. I would for sure recommend this to anyone who is going to DR. Full of culture and history. Had a great time! Gracias Robinson. Still has me laughing. No blah blah blah no Mickey Mouse. If you know, you know!!
Francisco our driver was very nice! As he gave the tour he explained where we are and the history of it! I highly recommend this tour and Francisco
Francisco was a great tour guide. He communicated immediately after I booked, which was the night before, to give me a pickup time for my hotel. He's very friendly. Also, I liked that it was a small group. All the places we went from a short horseback ride, Bascillica, Issa farm, walk through (very fast) of a local market, the creek at our lunch spot, cigar factory and Macao beach were all great experiences for the time we had. So much to cover during the time but not leaving feeling the day was too long. I'd 110% choose this tour over again!
