Uma vila enterrada Os habitantes locais dizem que esta vila foi habitada pela última vez pelo povo da tribo Al Kutbi. As casas que você vê aqui datam dos anos 80. Agora, toda a vila, incluindo casas, mesquitas e veículos, está coberta de areia, daí o nome 'Vila Enterrada'. Bem, pode-se dizer que areia e forças extremas da natureza invadiram esta vila.

O QUE VER NA CIDADE FANTASMA DE AL MADAM A vila abandonada da cidade fantasma de Al Madam é composta por 2 fileiras de casas e uma mesquita no final da vila. Todas as casas sucumbiram às areias movediças e às duras realidades da vida no deserto. Em alguns lugares, ainda é possível ver o piso decorativo e a pintura de parede, mas em alguns quartos a areia subiu tão alto que você não pode entrar. Alguns dizem que é assustador visitar esta cidade fantasma, pessoalmente pensamos que era bastante pacífica. Uma vez habitada por membros da tribo Al Kutbi, não está claro por que a cidade foi abandonada: alguns dizem que é um "gênio" (uma criatura sobrenatural na mitologia islâmica) que afastou as pessoas, outros dizem que é simplesmente o clima severo. Al Madam Ghost Town não faria parte da lista imperdível dos Emirados Árabes Unidos, mas ainda é uma excursão interessante se você tiver tempo.

Booked this tour hoping to see a ghost town, turns out the real ghost was the tour itself. No driver, no message, no number that works. I sat in the lobby like a lost suitcase waiting for a pickup that never came. Even Viator couldn’t reach them. If you enjoy being ignored and abandoned with zero explanation, this is the tour for you. Otherwise, book literally anything else.
It’s an interesting place on the way to Fujairah or Dibba. We spent about 40 minutes in the location, it’s a good stop over. They’ve got a few art objects in the desert village, almost fully covered with sand. They have right and sound installations concrete tent and a couple of other art objects.

Our tour guide, Yusuf, came highly recommended by the Al Badayer Resort which drove us to the villas and told us a bit about the history of the village.
Al Madam Ghost Town is very much underrated. This place is awesome of you have a 4WD! Just make sure you have a shovel in the car or that your car has a "crawl" option. This is usually available in FJ's. The place is very peaceful. You can see a mosque, villas that are half covered in sand and an entry gate that looks like a frame. You can visit this place via 2 entrances. Where Google Map took us was an andveturous path. However, there is another way that does not require a lot of obstacle courses and this will lead you to that frame. Do not expect anybtpilet. Make sure you akready do your business before reaching this place.
While we found the ‘Ghost town’ interesting, and photogenic, there was no ‘tour’ to speak of. Our “guide” had fallen asleep within 5 minutes of picking us up (drive was about an hour out to the site), said about 4 sentences to us the whole time (2 of which were trying to sell us other tours), and then spent the entire trip back yelling into his phone. He and the driver sat in the car while we explored the site.
