Nesta excursão visitaremos o Mosteiro Real de El Escorial, um patrimônio arquitetônico da Humanidade, e a Basílica do Vale dos Caídos , um monumento que se destaca por seu tamanho gigantesco. 5 horas de visita direta ao Valle de los Caídos com a sua basílica escavada na Sierra de Madrid e descobrir a grandeza do Mosteiro Real de El Escorial , Patrimônio da Humanidade e símbolo da supremacia espanhola do século XVI.

Vale dos Caídos é um monumento do regime franquista, basílica católica e um memorial monumental no município de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, erguido no Vale Cuelgamuros na Serra de Guadarrama, perto de Madrid. Franco afirmou que o monumento deveria ser um "ato nacional de expiação" e reconciliação. As obras envolveram principalmente trabalhadores livres e um percentual menor, embora significativo, de presos, estes entre 1942 e 1950, sob o regime de resgate de penas.
San Lorenzo de El Escorial, também conhecido como El Escorial de Arriba é uma cidade e município da Comunidade de Madrid, Espanha, localizada a noroeste da região no lado sudeste da Serra de Guadarrama, no sopé do Monte Abantos e Las Machotas, a 47 km de Madrid. É chefe do partido judicial de mesmo nome. O povoado é popularmente chamado de El Escorial de Arriba, para diferenciá-lo da aldeia vizinha de El Escorial, também conhecida como El Escorial de Abajo. Felipe II ordenou a construção deste Mosteiro em reconhecimento à vitória de San Quintín, que ocorreu no dia de San Lorenzo em 1557 e é do Rei, para erguer um mausoléu em memória de seus pais e de si mesmo, colocado sob a invocação de São Lourenço.

On site the history class of Spain
Must see when in Madrid! Isobel did a beautiful job taking us through the rich history of Spain. El Escorial is simply amazing. I enjoyed learning more about the history of this beautiful site. El Valle de los Caídos, now Valle de Cuelgamuros is impressive. The history behind this monument is fascinating. A place for the fallen in the Spanish civil war. Spain has renamed it and taken steps to make sure all fallen are honored.
Isabel and Angel were awesome! These sites for my family have turned into must sees for any of our friends who are traveling to Madrid! Isabel is so knowledgeable and so kind. A fantastic tour guide! The great think about this trip is that since it is only half a day you can easily fit it into your schedule versus a full day trip. Loved it!
David and Eugenio were both excellent. The day went very smoothly, from the quick and efficient check in to the relaxing bus ride to the interesting site tours. David made the long and complex history behind the two sites simple, interesting, and easy to digest. I had a nice day and would consider doing another tour with them in the future.

The Escorial is a hidden gem; its library, monastery, palaces, and pantheon are a marvel, with many paintings on the walls and ceilings, as well as gold figures in the summer. The Escorial is a demonstration of the fine taste of centuries of the Spanish monarchy. I did not like the bilingual model of the tour; if you can book one in just one language, it would be better. The guide switched languages every two sentences without difficulty and with great dedication, which serves everyone, but it was hard for me to maintain attention to the history of the place.
