Excursão ao aqueduto subterrâneo da Fonte de Trevi e escadas Espanholas

Este é um passeio em grupo pequeno e íntimo de não mais de 12 pessoas. Vamos começar pelos passos espanhóis, onde você vai aprender tudo sobre eles e por que eles são chamados assim (você vai se surpreender!). Pelas escadas espanholas vamos encontrar a primeira fonte do passeio. Aqui é onde vamos começar uma jornada através dos aquedutos de Roma! De fato, esta fonte ainda é alimentada hoje por um antigo aqueduto romano construído em 19 aC! A partir daqui seguiremos o aqueduto que é, na maior parte, subterrâneo. E caminhando casualmente por este itinerário, encontraremos partes do aqueduto que aparecem entre os edifícios modernos. Seguiremos o aqueduto até o seu fim monumental: a fonte de Trevi. Mas não vamos parar aqui. Vamos nos afastar das multidões, virar a esquina e descobrir o reservatório de água subterrânea que os antigos romanos construíram há mais de 2000 anos! Durante este passeio a pé você não só verá o local específico, mas também aprenderá como a Roma moderna foi construída em torno das ruínas antigas.

É aqui que nos encontraremos e iniciaremos nosso passeio! Você aprenderá o que a Piazza di Spagna é para os romanos hoje, bem como a história de como ela se tornou o que é hoje. O lado glamoroso de Roma desde os tempos da Roma Antiga até hoje. Aqui você também aprenderá que as etapas espanholas... não são espanholas! Você ficará surpreso ao saber o porquê. Depois conheceremos a icônica fonte de la Barcaccia, que ainda hoje é alimentada por um antigo aqueduto romano com mais de 2.000 anos! E é aqui que começa a nossa jornada pela água.

The guide was amazing. He knows his subject perfectly and he was very interesting. The only deception was the underground, I was hopping for the Trevi fountain underground, but it's somewhere else. Still very interesting.
The guide was amazing. He know is subject deeply, doesn't have any language difficulty and the tour is very interesting. The only thing that disappointed me is the understand visit. I was expecting seeing the underground of the trevi fountain, but it's not that underground. It still very interesting and worth it. I would do it again!
Thank you so much for your feedback, we’re super happy you enjoyed the tour with us! 😊 During this tour we descend 9 meters (30 feet) below street level to see the 2000-year old “water castle” of the Aqua Virgo, the aqueduct that still today brings water to the Trevi fountain since 19BC. We had Virginia as our guide, she was good and had lots of knowledge about all the things on the tour. It was a very hot day, so the “mall” part where you get to see some of the Aqueducts behind the housewares dept on the lower level was unexpected but the cold air was nice. She did a great job explaining everything but even she said that our time at the Trevi Fountain was more crowded than she expected so we didn’t spend much time there, although she pointed out some hidden funny aspects like lizards carved into it, so I appreciated that. She said we could come back on our own time to look at it further. Then we went to the main museum of the aqueducts and that was very cool. She had lots of interesting facts to pass along and you can tell she is very passionate about it. This was a good tour and I would recommend it.
Hi Heather, thank you for taking the time to write your feedback, we’re so happy you enjoyed the tour with Virginia 😊 During our tours our main goal is to maximize comfort, the little surprises along the way (such as the aqueduct at the department store, which is also a nice break from the heat 😉) and the historical context that you wouldn’t necessarily find on your own. While we give you all the information and the stories you need to know about the Trevi fountain, that little extra time you might want to take for pictures and the coin toss ritual is something that is more suitable for when you’re on your own, so that you can do it at your own pace 😊 the tour ends nearby, so you can easily go back to the fountain.
