Sam was an engaging guide, very knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time on our tour and would highly recommend it at the beginning of your visit to Edinburgh.
The tour guide never showed up so we entertained ourselves instead.we did a selt tour of Holyrood...
My husband and I had a great tour with Sam. Our tour was supposed to be 4 people, but the other couple never showed, so we had a private tour. We walked the Royal Mile stopping in little hole in the wall (close’s) places along the way. We would haves definitely missed most of them. Sam’s descriptions and explanations were right on point. We would highly recommend this tour.
It was lovely to meet you both. I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour.
My husband and I signed up for the Royal Mile walking tour. It was a private tour. As we had already been on the Royal Mile the previous day on a different tour and were alone we hoped that our tour guide Sam Thomson would be flexible and cover information about Edinburgh culture or areas not covered on the prior tour; we were disappointed that she seemed annoyed with us and felt it was overall an uncomfortable experience.
I agree it was an uncomfortable experience. It's had to give someone what they want when they don't know themselves. I asked what you wanted to do instead and all you gave me what talk about Edinburgh Culture, which I did. I asked you what you had already covered, you said you could not remember. All the way through I checked you were happy with what we were doing and you said yes? I see you reviewed the tour you did the day before. I'm glad you remembered which tour you did eventually and that you enjoyed that tour. It's just a shame you couldn't remember the details when we needed them.
The guide was knowledgeable and friendly we really enjoyed our time with her. Although another group had signed up they never arrived so we had a private tour experience!
It was a pleasure to spend time with you both. It was such a lovely day for a walking tour (I'm glad the others didn't show up). I really enjoyed it.
Sam did a fabulous job on our tour of 6 adults - great information shared along w/ unique little quips about Edinburgh and Scotland. Recommended a delicious lunch (which was one of our best meals over the 9 day Scotland visit). Definitely recommend this tour - you won't be disappointed.
I really enjoyed my time with you. It was fun spending time with you all. I'm glad lunch was good. Hope you can come back to Scotland again one day.
Our guide Sam was very knowledgeable and passionate He made us discover small hidden gems and told interesting anecdotes Not the usual guided tour. Highly recommended
I met with my guide and ended up being the only one on the tour, as the other person was a no-show. My guide, however, gave me a stellar tour of the Royal Mile.
Thank you for taking the time to review the tour. I am glad you enjoyed it. The Evening Royal Mile Walking Tour is a great way to explore the Old Town and does not take away from time during the day to visit some of Edinburgh's amzing attractions.
