We booked only a couple of hours before the tour and it was fine- lucky there was a spot. We were surprised ( and pleased) to be picked up by motor bikes and those drivers were great - we felt safe. However we did not know that would happen so if you’re a little anxious about being on a bike that would be good to have a choice. Minh was our guide and very informative! We were a large group of 11 and a smaller group would have been better. Also some of the places that were planned were closed so we had to go somewhere else. We had 6 courses at different places. 1) steamed rice paper rolls and watched them being made which was the best I think! 2) dry pho - also delish! 3) red noodles 4) bahn mi 5) fresh rice paper rolls which we wrapped ourselves from a platter of things 6) egg coffee. Everything was delicious and we were all very stuffed! Minh enjoyed correcting us us on all our misconceptions about Vietnam. All in all as our first meal and first venture out in Hanoi, it was definitely worthwhile.

This was the highlight of our visit to Hanoi! The tour operator was extremely professional and we were allotted to a young local guide named Linh (pronounced Lynn) This chappie spoke very good English and was full of information about his home town. Apart from showing us the hidden culinary jewels of Hanoi, he shared very interesting aspects of Vietnamese life and culture. Would definitely recommend this your!

Our tour guide Ken was amazing! This was our best day in Hanoi, full of local food and conversations. We couldn’t have found any of these places on our own. Also the tour was adjusted so that we don’t try any of the things that we already have. This is really a unique experience and it’s totally worth it! The food is still keeping us full after 5 hours! Highly recommend!

Great tour that showed us a lot of the old quarter and the history behind the food. Make sure you’re hungry because there is a lot of food to be eaten. I thought the variety was perfect and was a great intro to Vietnamese food.

Had an excellent your with Zun (sp?) And tried a real range of different food. The office staff were very kind, especially Linh, and being able to take a shower after the tour was a massive bonus.

Wow! What an incredible experience. Dung is a master tour guide who takes you to the nooks and crannies of authentic food in the city. Incredibly friendly, and amazingly knowledgeable not just about food, but about local politics, religion, the economy, and so many other subjects. The value from this Tour is unbelievable! You eat so many delicious things, and Dung makes it very easy to understand the history, philosophy, techniques and ingredients of each dish. I love to cook, and have traveled all over the world to eat, and I learned so much, had a great time, and met some cool folks too. DONT MISS THIS GEM OF A TOUR!!!!

The class was great! We went to the markets first and learnt about different foods and the freshness of the ingredients etc. Our tour guide then took us to cook! We cooked 3 amazing meals and got to enjoy them after!! Delish. It was so last minute so great that Kevin could sort it out and fit us in! Thank you! Would highly recommend.
