O Memorial contra a Guerra e o Fascismo é obra do escultor austríaco Alfred Hrdlicka.

A must do tour!

This is such a great tour, personable and knowledgeable. Sigi was great. I've done a similar tour in Munich, it connected the dots, completed the picture. I used to live in Vienna, so it was wonderful to learn new things about a city that I love, even if it was a very dark time. It's how we learn and grow.

Fascinating tour with a very considerate guide.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this tour. Dieter was clearly very knowledgeable on the subject and could answer any questions that were asked. It was a very hot and sunny afternoon and he made sure that we found shady spots before he would give us more information. He also made sure that we had plenty of stops near water fountains so we could refill our water bottles. Dieter was also concerned that everybody crossed roads safely and were aware and could avoid hazards from bike lanes. The headsets we had occasionally lost connection so we always tried to stay close to the guide so we didn't miss anything he was saying.

Simply fantastic!

Dieter was a great guide; he made this tour a true experience and shared his immense historical knowledge with us. He managed very well to connect the past with the present, the topic has not lost any of its relevance. He also competently and engagingly answered personal questions. Overall absolutely top-notch! Thank you, Dieter!

Read this if your think this is city tour!

First I’ve been on vivator tours for years!!! Never wrote a review. We expected this to be a bit more tour of city with some WW2 stories and how Hitler influenced started in Vienna. Our guide was SO knowledgeable but we spent 30 mins at each of 5 sites and in sun which just happened to be 100F degrees. I wish he could have referenced the site and its importance’s and continued on from birth of Hitler to 1988 as we walked or at least moved to Sun. We only saw 5 things and the 2 1/2 hr lecture was a repeat of the history we have already learned. I guess we thought we would be “seeing” sites if Vienna and learning how Hitler influenced or was influenced by each thing. If you’re looking to learn his life from beginning to end this is for you but you don’t “see” much. It’s more lecture tour which would have been better from AC room with slides. Again guide was great and had alot of knowledge, just not what we expected.

Outstanding Tour Guide

It was an extremely hot day. Tour started at 2:30p. We were a little worried about how this was going to work because it is a walking tour. Ziggy our guide was wonderful! She walked us to the shade and indoor spaces when possible. She pointed out where we could get water. She was absolutely brilliant and passionate ate on the topic and delivered a thoughtful history lesson on the dark issues that everyone understood. We bumped into her on the street after the tour. She recognized us and we had another chat she even brought us to the cathedral to show us one more thing. I cannot say enough about this tour. One of our favorites.

Depending on weather it...

Depending on weather it can be uncomfortable to be standing in the sun. Bring an umbrella. Also, you will be standing a long time.

Excellent tour well worth our time, thank you Dieter.

This was a very worthwhile tour with lots of background information, not just a rote list of places. We went where Hitler visited and also heard the historical background to his experiences in Austria inc his rejection as a painter and a visit to the art institute, the building where he gave his famous speech, and so on. We did this in sunny hot weather (30+ DegC) and Dieter took care to keep us in the shade as much as possible and also include short stops for restrooms and water. Small earpieces were provided so we could hear clearly without having to be right next to the guide. There was also a short mixup with location to meet and they called us to make sure we were in the right place (20meters away :-) TLDR; Highly Recommended.

Historical Hitler Walking Tour

The Historical Hitler walking tour in Vienna was very informative. Our tour guide was Wolfgang and he did a great job diving into the rise of Nazism and antisemitism in Vienna during WW2

Deter was so thorough with his history on the walk, very well spoken, easy to understand, liked the way he asked questions to the group. Also, always looked for shade, loved that!! I give him a 10 out of 10! Great experience!!
