Highly recommend to those who want to learn more about the underground/punk history of the city!
Loved this tour. Rhys was a great tour guide. A wealth of knowledge and very entertaining. He was very easy to listen to. He took us to places we wouldn’t know about otherwise. We would highly recommend this tour and ask for Rhys.
Great guide, you could really tell he had a passion for street art & music. Took us to some cool places and explained all the history & culture
An interesting tourist guide around a bit of post war / post wall avante garde parts of Berlin. Things we would not have noticed. Although not a local Ben did give us many local insights. He was entertaining and kept the walking group of 20 together, through markets walking trains and trams. Good value and worth doing.
You get a lunch break and can get your own food and drinks, so you don't have to bring anything beforehand.
Guide Rhys took us on a walking tour of Berlin, which started on a windy Alexanderplatz. But that only became more beautiful and fun afterwards. You occasionally take the train, metro or tram to continue walking a few stops away. We visited Mitte, Prenzlauerberg and Kreuzberg. We have been coming to Berlin for a long time, but heard some new things about squats, the treehouse, street art and the history of Berlin. On the way there is half an hour to eat a curry sausage. Make sure you have a day ticket for public transport.
Great tour that blended Berlin art, music, history and contemporary politics. Our guide Rys was excellent. A true renaissance man Rys is a rock and jazz musician, a DJ, and a tour guide. He brought a great sense of humor and a unique perspective to our group. He also gave some awesome recommendations for local clubs, bars and music venues. I strongly recommend this tour. What a like most is you get a good breakdown of some of the city's more eclectic neighborhoods. You will also learn about the various contributions of Berlin’s artists musicians and ethnic groups that contribute to the city's vibrant culture.
Led by a super knowledgeable guide this was a hugely interesting walk. We visited and learned the interesting history of so much in Mitte, Prenzlauerberg and Kreuzberg - none of which you would come close to as a lone tourist or on a more conventional guided tour. Once you’ve done the usual sights I heartily recommend this tour and Rhys, the leader. If you’re doubtful about the walking, it’s not too onerous. Berlin is very flat and there’s a lot of listening besides the walking (and some rides) between locations.
Ben our guide was very knowledgeable. He made the whole tour very interesting. Learnt so much about the culture in Berlin
Rhys is a fantastic guide. He was perceptive and informative- exactly what you want in a guide. He put everyone at ease. We learned and laughed a lot. I felt I could ask him any question about the city and would get a thoughtful response. Highly recommend!
