Private tour guide. Reid was very informative and entertaining - even sang Hamilton songs for us (which we liked). Not just basic information - gave us serious thought provoking commentary.

This was not an enjoyable tour for us for a number of reasons. We were expecting admission to Independence Hall, the first bank, second bank, etc. It did not appear that that was going to be forthcoming. The reason that I say this is because it began to rain immediately after the tour started. The tour operator makes it clear that there are no refunds and the tour goes rain or shine. However, there should be limits to this policy. In our case it was raining cats and dogs and there was lightning. During the tour, we became drenched. Reid did not stop the tour. He attempted to push through. Even after we received flash flood warnings on our phones, he kept pushing on. At no point did he suggest that we go into the various stops that several websites said were included with admission, such as those previously mentioned. At least if we had been indoors, we might have been able to stay dry. When he began to walk us up a river pouring down one of the walkways, with water rolling over our ankles, I pulled the plug and announced that the tour was over for us. At which point all of the guests left. Attempting to push through the tour like this in spite of significant safety hazards to the guests was irresponsible and unprofessional. As a result of the fiasco, we wasted our time, did not get to see several very important sites in Philadelphia that we wanted to see, and lost the money on the tour, because of course no refunds were offered. Aside from this, Reid also carries a Bluetooth speaker with him to play songs from the Hamilton soundtrack to which he “raps” along. Our family was not particularly enjoying this. Perhaps others do, but for us it detracted from what little of the tour we were able to take. Additionally, at several points he decided to get political, discussing his personal opinions of the current administration. I don’t take a tour to understand how the guide feels about current affairs. Again, very unprofessional. Regardless, the lack of concern for our comfort and safety was particularly distressing. For that reason alone, this tour qualified as the worst guided tour we have ever taken. And we have taken a lot.

Creating memories, while learning is the best. Reid was informative and thought provoking. He caused us to think beyond the "play."

If you like Hamilton the show or simply enjoy history this tour is fantastic. Reid is amazingly knowledgable about Hamilton and accompanies the tour with music from the production and singing. My wife and daughter absolutely loved it. You also get to hear the real stories of Hamilton and the timelines. Well worth the time to listen to Reid. Thank you.

It was awesome and we learned a TON of information. We did a lot of walking in historic Philly. The tour guide (Reid) clearly loved what he was doing and had great details that are hard to find in mainstream textbooks. If you like anything having to do with Alexander Hamilton this walking tour is for you.

Reid was an outstanding guide. His expertise and passion for Hamilton was perfect for my family. He shared so much information with us and helped us see the truth behind the musical. We appreciated hearing the music along the way and making connections to Hamilton's life, the musical and the city of Philadelphia. Thank you, Reid!

Reid is very knowledgeable on Hamilton history and the early American history. He made the whole walk very relevant and well-paced. MY daughter, a major Hamilton buff told me that she learned quite a few things from the tour. She also enjoyed singing with Reid although I have no idea how the two of them could memorize all the lyrics.

Reid was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable and energetic. He was also patient and responsive to my 10 year old’s questions, often engaging him in the narrative. Singing Hamilton songs on the streets of Philadelphia is great fun! If there was shade available, Reid found it, which was much appreciated. This tour was equally educational and entertaining. My younger daughter was not the target audience, but Reid’s songs had her dancing when possible and he kept the story moving despite her fidgeting. I’d say 9ish is about the youngest that’s good for this tour, unless the child is very into Hamilton and the history of the American Revolution, but the guide was very accommodating in any event. It is 2.5 hours with no bathroom breaks. There are frequent stops, sometimes with benches, if available, but it is good advice to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Highly recommend!

We had a great time! Reid was a wealth of knowledge. His stories were fun and full of brain tingling facts. He took the preteen seeming to be disinterested in stride—- both loved it and learned so much sharing it with us the whole drive home! Thank you!

I enjoyed learning about the life and career of Alexander Hamilton and his relationships with other Founding Fathers. Wish I had dressed more warmly.
