Nao was a wonderful tour guide, who created a customized tour and accommodated all of our requests. It was great to be in a car on the many hills of Nagasaki. We appreciated his off the beaten path sites. He was very responsive to our pre-tour communications. He has a deep knowledge about Nagasaki's history and even gave us restaurant recommendations.
We worked with Nao to come up with an itinerary that gave us the perfect introduction to the city. Highlights included the Peace Park and Suwa Shrine. Nao shared personal stories about growing up in Nagasaki and took us to some of his favorite spots. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with him. Highly recommended!
First off, Nao was the best guide ever. We had nothing specifier wanted to see in Nagasaki other than Peace Park. He built the perfect itinerary for us going to the popular spots and some hidden gems. The first stop at the tip of the mountain was incredible. We could see for miles in all directions. We enjoyed the hidden gems (a temple, cemetery and a cat temple) even more than the popular sites (Peace Park). Our time with Nao flew by. It was like touring with a friend. Nao provided so much information on each location. I wish we had tours like this in other cities we visited.
Nao was by far the best guide we’ve had in Japan. Very informative, flexible, patient and provided two beautiful spots off the beaten track: a Christian/ Buddhist cemetery and peaceful, uncrowded section of a 400 year old shrine. Can’t say enough about him and the tour
A must in Nagasaki. Thoroughly enjoyed our day out and we are reminded of tragic past that must never be allowed to happen again. Thank you so much for making our visit unforgettable..
Nao was probably the best guide we've ever had and we have been on over 40 viator excursions. He was pro prompt, knowledgeable, super friendly, and very easy-going. It was just a delightful day and we got to see lots of sites normal tours probably would not see. if you go to Nagasaki ask for Nao and you'll not be disappointed..
We had a great tour and experienced a lot. It is March and was cold and windy in several areas, so bring a jacket. Lots of walking up and down hills, so proper footware is important. Our driver (Nao) was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, and safe driver.
We met Nao as we disembarked from our ship. I have difficulty walking and Nao was very gracious and accommodating. He led us on an amazing tour of Nagasaki sharing personal stories and history of the city. Even though it was raining we had a wonderful time. He took us to all the sites we wanted to see and shared many of the traditions of Japan. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Thank you Nao!
WE can't speak highly enough about our tour with Eri Ogawa. She showed us so much more than our tour promised and she was happy to add more experiences to the trip. She explained everything fully, and was so much more like a friend than a tour guide. We have to mention the unexpected reconstructed Deijima visit (man made island for trade with Portugese and then Dutch between 1600-1869). While there we were treated to a Geisha performance and met some of Eri's friends - a real treat. We can't thank you enough, Eri, and thanks also for your wonderful photographs.
