N.B. O BILHETE DO TELEFÉRICO E DO VEÍCULO 4X4 DEVE SER PAGO NO PONTO DE ENCONTRO, €45 POR PESSOA EM DINHEIRO PARA AGILIZAR O CHECK-IN. OBRIGADO. Uma excursão inesquecível: subida de teleférico e ônibus 4x4 até 2850m. A trilha começa aqui, e uma parada fascinante será a que faremos em algumas crateras extintas, aberturas eruptivas e fraturas de lava. Continuaremos até as crateras de Barbagallo, a 3000 metros de altitude. Daqui, você poderá observar as majestosas crateras do cume. Você visitará a boca efusiva da erupção de 2002 e, de lá, descerá por praias de areia até Montagnola, de onde poderá observar o Valle del Bove, uma grande depressão vulcano-tectônica. Um panorama de tirar o fôlego, que poucos outros lugares no mundo conseguem proporcionar. O retorno a pé de teleférico permite que você dê uma última olhada nessa paisagem lunar encantadora, em um total de aproximadamente 4 horas de caminhada.

Itinerário
Partimos da cabana dos Guias Alpinos do Etna Sud, continuamos de teleférico até 2.500 metros e depois com um veículo off-road chegamos a 2.850 metros.
A primeira parada será o mirante do Valle del Bove, uma grande depressão vulcano-tectônica em forma de ferradura localizada no setor leste do Etna, é muito importante do ponto de vista vulcanológico, pois vários afloram ao longo das paredes. Em dias de sol a vista é de tirar o fôlego.
Uma parada muito importante é a cratera Barbagallo a uma altitude de cerca de 3.000 metros. Subindo ao longo dos areais, chegará a um canal de escoamento lávico que remonta à erupção de 2002. Subindo o canal, chegará à boca efusiva da mesma erupção. continuaremos em direção à Torre del Filosofo (2920 metros) ao longo dos recentes fluxos de lava ainda quente (21-05-2023). Após a pausa para o almoço, caminharemos ao longo da borda da cratera Barbagallo admirando as crateras do cume e toda a costa leste da Sicília, de Taormina a Siracusa.
Após a caminhada à beira da cratera Barbagallo, antes de iniciar a descida, teríamos a oportunidade de admirar mais uma vez as crateras do cume do Etna, Central Crater e South-East Crater, com a sua inevitável pluma de gás.
O retorno de teleférico será feito ao longo de canais de areia vulcânica, admirando, em dias de bom tempo, uma vista de tirar o fôlego, que vai da costa jônica ao interior da Sicília.

An experience you cannot really put into words. The landscape is otherworldly and the emotions you experience under an active volcano are one of a kind. Because of the ongoing eruption and the sudden bad weather, we couldn’t complete the whole tour, but thankfully Clara, our wonderful guide, made sure we got the most of the experience. She was sweet, competent and attentive, and made you curious and passionate about the volcano just like an excellent teacher would do. Will definitely come back for another experience. Amazing experience hiking up around the crater field to the rumbling of the current eruption. Very knowledgable and friendly guide. Def need a degree of fitness and be prepared to come home with volcanic ash/sand everywhere! Would recommend, we loved it
This is a must if you visit Sicily! Even while Etna was erupting, we could still do the tour in alternate fashion. The guide kept us well informed and made us feel safe.

An absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience! Our Etna tour was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. Clara was a wonderful guide – extremely knowledgeable, friendly, passionate, and professional. It was a wonderful experience, especially thanks to our guide, Clara, who accompanied us, making us have fun and experience every stage up to 3000m with enthusiasm. We were captivated by her intense passion as well as by the unique landscapes into which she transported us. It is truly true that competence makes the difference; this day would not have been so enriching and impactful if it hadn't been for our guide, who didn't let us miss a single detail: from the minerals, to the myths, to the plants that smell like lemon!!!
