O passeio inclui uma visita ao maior vulcão ativo da Europa: Etna ou Mongibello. Subindo em direção ao cume, você passa por várias paisagens. Dos pontos mais altos, você pode desfrutar de uma vista espetacular que se estende até a ilha de Malta. O Etna tornou-se patrimônio da Unesco em 2013. Você pode subir a estrada que leva a Rifugio Sapienza (1.923 metros) O refúgio abriga um bar e uma área comercial bem abastecida. À disposição dos hóspedes também existe um grande terraço panorâmico, onde é possível relaxar desfrutando de uma vista esplêndida sobre grande parte do leste da Sicília. Do Refúgio, você pode pegar uma taxa, o teleférico para atingir uma altitude de 2500 metros. De lá, você pode visitar a pé ou continuar com veículos off-road, para chegar à área da cratera, localizada a 2920 m.
Taormina é uma das estâncias turísticas mais famosas da ilha. Uma vez aqui, o motorista irá acompanhá-lo até a Porta Messina, o ponto de acesso à área pedonal da cidade. A partir daqui, você pode visitar o centro histórico de Taormina e o esplêndido Teatro Greco-Romano (entrada por uma taxa extra). Você pode passear por suas ruas medievais, admirar suas vistas deslumbrantes e saborear sua excelente gastronomia. Não perca o sugestivo terraço panorâmico com vista para o mar, um delicioso ponto de encontro, o famoso centro da vida social de Taormina. Tudo isso é a Piazza IX Aprile, a praça mais famosa de Taormina que se abre para a rua principal da cidade (Corso Umberto), com seus muitos cafés ao ar livre, edifícios religiosos e edifícios históricos que a enquadram. If you have an extra free day in Palermo, you need to do this with Fabrizio! He picked up my family at 8:00 am and drove us to Mt. Etna. It was a long drive(2.5 hours) but we enjoyed every minute of it because Fabrizio taught us a lot about history, current events, architecture, nature and so much more while he drove us to the base of Mt. Etna. It started to rain when we reached the base so we stayed at the souvenir shop/cafe until the rain stopped. We took a lot of photos and videos of the stunning views and the constant rain plus the random lighting! After, Fabrizio drove us to Taormina where we spent 2.5 hours eating a delicious relaxing lunch and shopping at the vibrant shopping scene Taormina is famous for. Fabrizio picked us up where he dropped us off and everyone fell asleep with Fabrizio’s safe and comfortable driving. We all would love to do this again soon! We highly recommend Fabrizio, we voted him as the best guide in Palermo! Thank you Fabrizio!

We had a great time visiting Mt Etna and Taormina with this tour. The only thing is that we would have preferred more time in Taormina and less in Mt Etna, but it was so because of the decisions we made on the options offered at the site. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun and thought this was worth our time and money, specially being it a private tour for our group. Our driver, Marcello, was wonderful and did everything he could to accommodate our requests.
Our driver was cordial and punctual but the published itinerary seems to be impossible as we went up the Mt Etna with cable car plus 4x4 bus. The bus in the mountain was unpredictable. We ended up spending all our time at Mt Etna.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback. Unfortunately the journey from Palermo to Etna is about 3 hours, to add the journey to Taormina and the return. This is why the time to spend on Etna and in Taormina is about 2 hours for each stop. If the customer wishes to spend more time at one of the two stops, obviously there is no time left for the other stop. Consider that the tour planned in this way has a duration of about 12 hours including the road journey. We are happy that your experience on Etna was fantastic and thank you for the 5 stars.
Claudio was my guide and he was great. I found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful as I navigated around Mt Etna and Taormina. He made sure I got to see and enjoy the coast and stopped for photo ops. I really enjoyed this tour. I had enough time to enjoy each stop.

Plan for a long day but with Claudio it was an extraordinary experience. He was punctual, professional and an excellent driver and very knowledgeable of the entire island of Sicily. We were very pleased with the tour and would highly recommend Claudio.

Taormina was fabulous and would absolutely go back. Etna was beautiful but I would prefer to spend more time in Taormina. Marcelo our guide was wonderful.
