Esta aventura leva você profundamente na antiga floresta do Parque Nacional Tyresta, uma das melhores áreas naturais acessíveis da cidade. Although it rained and we could not see the sunset, it was a very beautiful hike with lovely Nordic landscapes. Bring water and everything you will need for hiking. The guide is well prepared and can help if you are missing something. Our guide was very friendly!

Weather didn’t cooperate for us to be able to see a sunset and there wasn’t a lot of wildlife beyond a crane, a beaver, and a ton of slugs and mosquitoes. But Zack was very personable and outgoing and kept us all entertained. We felt really comfortable following him through the trails and he did a nice job preparing dinner for all of us in the most rustic of settings. As a woman of a certain age, I found the hike very manageable and only mildly strenuous for the first 10 minutes or so. Make sure to bring bug spray, as the mosquitoes were abundant, and check for ticks when you get home (husband had one)! All in all, a nice scenic walk around a beautiful park.

Wildlife sightings can vary from day to day, but spotting a beaver is actually quite special in Tyresta. Thanks as well for sharing your tips about mosquitoes and ticks for future hikers. Our tour guide, Yasmin, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She really made the whole trip feel special and welcoming. We made frequent stops so she could tell us about the environment that we were in, and we even got to pick and eat fresh lingonberries! We were served a warm pea soup with bread, and a chocolate ball and coffee/tea afterwards. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening, I would definitely do this again!

Many reviews recommend this as an easy hike, suitable for all ages. I did not find this to be the case. I quickly fell behind the others, and found the uphill portions quite difficult. I was only able to complete the first portion, and then was left to sit on a deck for over an hour. It was peaceful, but quite a lonely experience. The guide, Max, did try to accommodate me. I also found the directions to return to my cruise ship were inadequate, and I was lost alone in the city for quite a long time before I was able to find someone who could help direct me to the Pier. This is the first time of many excursions or experiences with Viator that has let me down.

Max did his best to support you, though I understand it may not have felt ideal. I would like to clarify that the tour description on Viator clearly mentions a maximum age limit of 70 years. You chose to join outside of this limitation without contacting us in advance. This is important because, while the hike is generally considered easy, there are a few uphill sections that can feel demanding, depending on health and fitness level. The majority of our guests, over many years, complete the hike without difficulty. As the tour also included other guests, Max had to balance the needs of the whole group. This meant letting you rest for part of the trip, which is never an easy decision but was necessary to ensure the others could also enjoy their experience. Regarding your return to the cruise ship, the hike starts and ends at the same meeting point, which is clearly stated on Viator. Since you successfully found the meeting point at the beginning of the tour, the same directions would naturally apply for your return. Please note that we are not involved in arranging drop-offs or transfers to individual accommodations or cruise ships. I must also say that I am disappointed by this review, as it impacts our small business even though we provided exactly what was advertised. For future readers, it is important to know that this booking was made outside of the clearly stated age limitation. We always aim to create positive memories for our guests, and I regret that this experience did not meet your expectations.

Our guide Max took us for a nice walk through the national park. At the beginning it was a bit steep uphill, but the view over the lake was very great. The rest of the route was mostly on paved paths. In between, the guide told us a lot about the park and Sxhweden in general. After almost 2 hours our guide made the food warm. There were vegan meatballs, potatoes, sour cream and jam. The Fikka was available as dessert ... Coffee/tea and oatballs. Since we had the lead all to ourselves, we could decide how long we wanted to run.

The National Park was absolutely beautiful, and our guide was knowledgeable and experienced with the area. I learned about how Sweden and the Swedes view their natural spaces, which was really interesting, while enjoying the views. It was fun to do something different from the city, and it was quite easy overall!
