We chose the 2-day trip to the Yurt Camp organized by Nuratau Travel. The experience includes one night in the desert under the stars, which was unforgettable. The accommodations are very clean, perhaps even a bit too adapted for tourists if you are looking for a truly wild experience. What really deserves special mention is Nuratau’s efficiency and professionalism in organizing the experience. We contacted them before arriving in Uzbekistan, and they quickly arranged the trip and communicated all details with prompt, almost immediate responses. Khamza, our driver for the two days, was an extraordinary travel companion. He is a kind and genuine person who helped us connect more deeply with Uzbekistan and its people. Thanks to him, we created lifelong memories. One detail says it all: I lost my sunglasses in the desert, and they were later found. Thanks to Khamza and Nuratau agency, they were shipped back to my home country. Without hesitation, I would entrust Nuratau to organize my tours and holidays in Uzbekistan. Thank you very much.
Jasur was great. He arrived at our hotel while we were still eating breakfast and was happy to wait. Sayyod Yurt camp was super well set-up and welcoming. Our hiking guide, Nodir, was friendly and spoke excellent English. The food at Sayyod was excellent! The evening bonfire and dancing was funny. On the 2nd day, we bypassed the lake to give us time to see petroglyphs and the Caravanserai as well as the Fortress. Jasur informally showed us these sights, which were a bonus. Lunch was delicious in a delightful courtyard.
The actual yurt stay was lovely. The tour description, however, left a lot to be desired. It should have been clear that it is a three hour ride from Samarkand to the camp and another almost eight hour drive to Bukhara. Lose the lake visit, it just adds driving time for no benefit. But again, the yurt stay itself is quite lovely.
A beautiful setting, very good yurts, very rich food, an enviable pool... and at night a bonfire where you can see the stars.. the wonderful trekking If you want to know the interior of Uzbequistan with an unbeatable stay ... this is your place
Our stay at the yurt camp and the trekking tour on the way from Nurata to Bukhara was absolutely outstanding. Everything was perfectly organized – from the delicious meals to the warm hospitality. The camp itself was a real highlight: tidy, very clean, and even equipped with a swimming pool, which was a wonderful surprise after a day of hiking. The yurt accommodations were comfortable and authentic, offering a unique and cozy atmosphere. A big thank you goes to our guide Sardar, who made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to all our needs. The guided hike was well-paced and full of insights into the local landscape and culture. On top of that, we were taken to visit the beautiful Nurata springs and the scenic Lake Aydar on the way to our next stop Buchara. Another big plus was the seamless pick-up and drop-off directly from our hotel by an English-speaking driver, which made everything very easy and stress-free. Overall, this experience combined adventure, comfort, and cultural discovery in the best possible way. I can highly recommend this camp and trekking tour to anyone traveling through Uzbekistan!
A sensational stay I can only recommend. Gully has spoiled us very much and you can do a lot of things in the camp for free (archery, bike rental..) The scenery is also absolutely great
Such a great experience! Most of the tourists sites in Uzbekistan are cities and having this little escape in the nature it was incredible! The yurts were great and toilettes were clean and practical (more then what we expected) The family is very welcoming and they taught us to play archery! Our guide in the mountain hike taught us many interesting thing about the culture and the views were amazing! Loved it !
Very professional tour company. Everything was efficient and well organised. Communication was fast and easy. Sayod Yurt camp was wonderful - the staff were friendly and the facilities were great. Dancing around the bonfire at night was great fun! The yurts are simple but comfortable. Don’t forget to look up at the starts at night - incredible! We also had another night at Touristic Camping at Hayat Village which was absolutely lovely.
I joined this tour with my friends and we really enjoyed our stay at Sayyod Yurt Camp. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature, perfect for hiking and relaxing. The food was delicious, and the hosts were very kind. A great spot to spend time with friends!
Staying at Sayyod Yurt Camp was something truly different. I really enjoyed the evening around the fire, listening to local stories and watching the stars. The camp has a very calm atmosphere, and it felt far away from the busy city life. It was a short trip, but left me with great memories.
