So fun! We went snorkeling with Guillermo and had a great time seeing lots of fish. An excellent activity for the afternoon. All of the guides were fantastic (Sebastian, Ivan, Claire y El Capitan) gracias!
Thank you so much, Haley! 💙 We’re so happy you had such a fun afternoon snorkeling at MUSA with Guillermo. Seeing lots of fish is always a beautiful Isla Mujeres treat! We’ll share your kind words with Guillermo, Sebastian, Ivan, Claire, and the captain. Gracias for joining us! 🐠🌊
The staff from the office to the water were amazing!! We went as a family (age range 6 year old to 70 year old) group of 10 with varying degrees of experience. A few were certified divers, a few first timers and 3 of us snorkeled, including a 6 yo snorkeler. The staff accommodated all of our levels, the views and fish were amazing and we all had a great day, highly recommend! We also hired a photographer, Lucia, who was great-
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 We love hearing that your whole family—from your youngest snorkeler to your most experienced divers—had such a great time with us. Creating a safe, fun, and memorable experience for mixed groups is exactly what we strive for, so it means a lot to know we delivered that for you. We’re also happy you enjoyed your time with Lucia—she does an amazing job capturing those special underwater moments 📸 Thanks again for choosing to spend your day with us, and we hope to welcome you all back again soon!
It was great! The crew was so friendly and helpful. We had the best time snorkeling around the statues and spotting fish. I enjoyed snorkeling the reef the best because there was so many varieties of beautiful coloured fish. Hernando was especially helpful to my husband who found it difficult getting on and off the boat. (We are in our sixties). It was a brilliant day and a great atmosphere on the boat with everyone chatting to eachother. I would definitely recommend it 100% Thank you all
Hi Lorraine, Thank you so much for your lovely review — it really made us smile. We’re so happy to hear you had such a great day snorkeling at MUSA and on the reef. The statues are always special, and the reef is definitely a favorite for all the color and variety of fish. I’m especially glad to hear that Fernando was there to help your husband and make getting on and off the boat easier — our crew truly cares about making everyone feel comfortable and supported, no matter their age or experience. It sounds like you had exactly the kind of relaxed, fun atmosphere we hope for on our boats. Thank you for recommending us — we really appreciate it and would love to welcome you back anytime.
Really friendly, knowledgeable staff. Lots of time to snorkel. Shared boat with Scuba divers (in our case), all good! Appreciate how easy and straightforward this experience was, and that we got to see so many cool things in the water at MUSA!
Hi Daniel, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We’re happy to hear you had a smooth and enjoyable snorkeling adventure at MUSA. It’s such a unique place, and we’re glad you got to see so many cool things underwater! 😊 Hope to have you back for more ocean fun next time you’re on Isla Mujeres! Warm regards, The Aqua Adventures Team 🐟💙
Five snorkels headed out with a very professional guide to both MUSA and the reef. David kept us together and safe in relatively choppy waters. He pointed out two sting rays! We also saw a sea turtle as well as many beautiful fish and amazing reefs. Captain Wilbert and the rest of the crew made for a wonderful day! Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience, Becky! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic time snorkeling at MUSA and the reef. David, Captain Wilbert, and the rest of the crew will be happy to know they helped make your day special. Spotting stingrays, a sea turtle, and all that beautiful marine life must have been an unforgettable experience! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to have you join us for another adventure soon. 🌊🐠💙
Amazing experience and professional crew! We snorkelled at both locations MUSA and the coral reef. Beautiful place to visit.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had an amazing experience and enjoyed the snorkeling at both MUSA and the coral reef. It truly is a beautiful place, and we're happy you got to experience it with us. We hope to welcome you back for more underwater adventures soon! 🌊🐠
Trip was very unorganized. No effort by guide or office to explain change of itinerary. Company combined passengers that paid for different packages on same small boat. We only were allowed to snorkel small portion of MUSA, while other passengers waited on boat. Stranded over 1 hour (until other passengers ready) in tourist zone beach area with vendors that was not part of our tour. Wasted a lot of time with minimal enjoyment at best.
All five of our kids did the "try scuba for the first time" they all loved it! They were very good with the kids, and I never felt like the kids were in any danger with them. Special thanks to Danny and Savanna. Had a great time and would book with them again. Justin
Hi Justin, Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that your kids had a great time trying scuba for the first time. It’s wonderful to know that Danny and Savanna provided a safe and enjoyable experience for your family. We hope this first taste of diving sparks their interest in getting certified, and we’d love to have the opportunity to continue their scuba journey with us someday. We’re looking forward to diving with you all again in the future. -Your Scuba Family!
I was on the snorkel MUSA & Manchones tour which was great because I could still go on the same tour boat with my best friend who was participating in the 2-tank dive. We coordinated/confirmed this with the dive shop before arriving. I ended up being the only person on our boat snorkeling, but everyone made me feel so comfortable and great about the choice! Danny, Gus, and David were all fantastic, friendly, and fun guides! They were true professionals who knew what they were doing but also were incredibly personable. This was my favorite tour experience of the entire trip and has made me want to return to work on my dive skills.
Hi Alexa, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great time on our snorkel MUSA & Manchones tour. They truly embody our commitment to professionalism and friendliness. We're honored that this tour was the highlight of your trip and has sparked your interest in returning to work on your dive skills. We look forward to welcoming you back and helping you explore more of the underwater world! Warm regards, Jessica
I’m a former diver and always had excellent experiences with dive shops wherever I travelled including Cozumel, Bonaire, Bimini, North Carolina, and even NJ and NY. On this trip I was traveling with a friend who snorkels and we booked 2 excursions with this shop. The first trip we booked was a whale shark snorkel trip. Upon arrival at the shop we were met with a strangely unfriendly front desk person. I didn’t care really but that vibe was just weird and not a pleasant way to start our day. We signed our waivers and made our way to the waiting area. Shortly after that we were driven by golf cart and stopped off at the dock. We met up with a boat crew and passengers from a different outfit called DC Explorers. I’m guessing the shop I booked with partners with them to fill the trips if they don’t have enough of a group. This wasn’t communicated to me but that’s all good. Crew was fine and friendly. We knew there were no guarantees so we were ok with not spotting the sharks but disappointed. It was also early in the season. Sandwiches and drinks were provided. It was a bit rough and some of the passengers weren’t feeling well which is par for the course because it’s a long day spent searching for the sharks in the open ocean. On the way back we stopped at a shipwreck area to snorkel. This is ok except the sea was churning, the boat was pitching up and down and the current was so strong that only one couple was even able to get near it and they only stayed for a few minutes. My prior experience in Mexico when I was diving was drift diving where you go with the current precisely because the currents are very strong here. So the captain maybe should have positioned the boat differently to make it easier for us to snorkel or better yet don’t even bother stopping here because it was too rough to even be possible much less enjoyable. The second trip we booked with this shop was a snorkel trip to MUSA the underwater museum and another reef nearby. The day of the trip we arrived and this time we were walked down to the dock area and introduced to a guy who we were told would be taking us out. The situation down at this dock area is very hectic with a ton of people and boats and guys with clip boards. We didn’t really know what was going on. After waiting a while we were suddenly ushered over into a boat with a completely different guy and group than what we were told. The boat was tiny. Already on the boat was a group of Mexican ladies and a couple. As soon as the boat left the dock they started passing out shots of tequila and pounding Coronas. Ok. It was a little early but ok. Vacation. The guide explained in Spanish to them and to English to us where we were going. When we got there it was a reef and the guide basically pulled the drunk people around by a life preserver and we were out of there for maybe 10 mins. So weird. Something must be getting lost in translation here. Anyway next thing we know we are at a dock and they are telling us to get off of the boat for lunch. We were so confused so my friend asked about the underwater museum. It didn’t seem like we were going there. After the drunk ladies stumbled their way off we stayed on the boat and he took off to take us to MUSA. We were fine with it and it was great that we got to see some of the statues and to do some snorkeling there. We saw a sea turtle and the statues were really cool- this saved our trip from being a total bust. But what did the dive shop have to do with these guys and why were we told to go with one group and then another? Also no snacks or drinks provided as described in the booking. I get it. It’s a very touristy area and it’s Mexico and it’s hectic but I thought it would be somewhat organized having booked through this shop. Overall a very strange trip. After that we went back to that dock and the guide told us that we were going to have to sit there and wait for 40 minutes. Instead of that he walked us to the street and got us a cab back to the other side of the island where we left from and closer to our hotel I was surprised that the guide was willing to put those drunk people in the water at the first stop- maybe that’s why he chose to pull them around and maybe that is why he was waiting at the dock for 40 mins for them to sober up? I think they were continuing to drink so I doubt he was planning to take us to MUSA when they returned if we hadn’t asked. We were so happy that he actually took us but it seemed rushed and definitely not planned. Maybe that’s just how the snorkeling trips are on this island but when you book through a shop you expect it to be somewhat organized and this wasn’t!
