Viagem à praia de Elafonissi saindo de Chania

Amazing drive through the countryside, with some breathtaking views (coach driver George was very skilled). The weather wasn't great for our trip, but we still enjoyed a few hours at the beach. Be prepared for crowds! The bus had sun umbrellas we could borrow, which meant we could set up anywhere. Most of the swimming beach area is quite shallow, so perfect if you have kids. It's about a 10 minute walk from the carpark to the beach, then a thigh-deep wade across to the island (if you choose). Don't expect the sand to be particularly pink 😜. The drive itself was surprisingly enjoyable, accompanied by wonderfully informative commentary from our guide Simona. In Elios, go to the family run taverna for a traditional Cretan meal!

Our beach tour was absolutely amazing, the tour guides are extremely informative and the team will work with you to ensure you have the information you need to have an amazing trip. Elafonisi is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen and I’m glad I chose this tour! We learned a lot of history on the island of Crete as well and I got to go home with some fun facts about their delicious olive oil!

Great tour, we had a fantastic driver who drove very meticulously through the windy mountains. Jo our guide was also very knowledgeable and share some interesting information about Chania. She also had sun umbrellas which saved a bit of change. Elafonissi beach was lovely and the water was very shallow for a vast area so great for swimming and for children. Gets a bit windy but perfect way to cool down. Did not look very pink though however we was informed this was probably due to all the visitors that had come during the summer period and from people taking the shells. There are a few places and a supermarket when you arrive at the beach area for snacks, drinks and food. Great day out

Great experience! Picked up from hotel, communication was really clear and we spent a good amount of time at the cave, beach and restaurant. The beach was so pretty, and the tour guide even offered umbrellas to shield from the sun. Tour guide was informative and the driver navigated some windy roads excellently! Would really recommend!

This is not a good trip for anyone with mobility issues. My husband can walk but slowly and with a cane. There are stairs up to the cave restaurant and the walk to the beach is long. That said, our tour guide arranged for a handicapped shuttle bus to take us to the beach. It was spectacular!!

Great guide and comfortable bus travel with convenient stops and information. Elafonissi is spectacular. Love the trip and late lunch in mountains.

Very disappointing outing There is no more pink sand, or so little! Furthermore, when we arrived, there were no more beach umbrellas available for rent on this beach. The guide lent us a beach umbrella, but with the wind and ground that was too hard, it was difficult to use! In short, we do not recommend this excursion, especially as it is presented! However, the route taken allows you to see magnificent landscapes.

Lovely all day trip. The guide Jo was very knowledgeable and pointed out some great things of interest locally. The coach was comfortable and the air conditioning kept everyone cool. On the way to the beach there was a stop for refreshments and lovely views. Then onto the beach, we were given free use of an umbrella to give some shade. The walk to the beach took around 10-15 minutes downhill. The beach is stunning and once we found a quieter spot we spent 3 hours or so paddling and swimming around. There are showers dotted around near the beach and places to get changed. The walk back up the hill is fairly easy. But sensible shoes are advisable. There are a fewini markets and cafes on the walk up for a quick refresher. Then once on the coach we had a stop at a lovely taverner high up on the mountains where there was a good choice of local food and drink. The trip back took a while bit got us back to our hotel within half an hour of the scheduled time All in all a really.lovely.day.out. would recommend.

We booked the tour last minute and had a bus problem while going to the beach. Guide made everyone feel comfortable and arranged a replacement bus and still made up for the lost hour. Along the way we made a stop at the cave and then the beach and on the way back we stopped at the local restaurant in Elos. Local Dessert at the elos restaurant was provided by the travel agent due to inconvenience caused by the bus failure. In all it was still a great and memorable experience.

Beautiful beach. A must visit. This is the way to go if not renting a car. Bus ride is comfortable. Nice amount of time spent at the beach.
