Oh my gosh!! Talk about being thrust into the history of the city!! Everything from booking to disembarking was a highly personalised experience. SO friendly and helpful! The icing on the cake was our guide, Claire, who was so, so expert on her subject and could field any question we hit her with, without hesitation. It was like being transported back in history. Thanks Claire!!
Informative. The guides interjected humor to add to the experience. Suggest riding entire route to determine which stops interest you.
Have done many a hop on hop off buses, but never found one with a live guide. Not only were the guides knowledgeable, but also slightly different. If you repeat a section with a different guide, you get additional information. Plus they can point at what they are talking about. Much better experience.
We stayed at an Airbnb on N. Castle St. and getting to stock number one for our bus tour was an easy walk. Our live guide, Tam, was very knowledgeable and funny, and he was able to answer any questions any of us or the other tourists asked of him. He gave us a recommendation for a local restaurant, but unfortunately, there were no more bookings for that evening. If I ever get back to Edinburgh, I would definitely try The Piper’s Rest.
Good experience. I hopped off once and so got two guides. First one was good fun but somewhat cynical as he riffed on the weather, the driver, potlholes and litter along with the usual stuff about buildings and history. Second one was an absolute hoot but more informative about the places the bus was passing. Overall I thought it was good value and a great way to get an overview of this fabulous city
We had 2 tour guides on the buses. As there was an accident with a patron, and we had to be evacuated off of the bus. Both tour guides were very personable. John was the first one, and Tori was the second, and she was very entertaining. And very knowledgeable about Edinburgh. Would highly recommend
Did the Green Loop twice. Two different live guides, learned new things each time. Friendly, approachable, highly recommend.
It would have been a 5 if the weather cooperated it was windy and cold for summer time
Our wonderful guide James gave us a lovely experience showing us around Edinburgh. We took the green bus (£20), and it was well worth it. His blend of information and humour really made the tour, would definitely recommend!
Very good tour of Edinburgh. Live narration and extremely informative and friendly. You can get off at any stop and get back on in 15 minute intervals. Questions are encouraged.
