I was disappointed with this tour from the very beginning due to how disorganized it was. I booked more than a month before my vacation, yet in the days leading up to the tour—while I was already on vacation—I was repeatedly contacted about changing my tour time and date. They even “upgraded” us to a completely different experience without asking if it was acceptable, simply informing us of the change. Because they were unable to honour the tour I had booked, they made it feel like their scheduling issues were my problem. I had carefully planned my vacation in advance so I could relax and enjoy it, but instead I was left dealing with unnecessary stress and last-minute changes. The tour itself was just okay. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the wineries that were selected. Since I was visiting the Okanagan from Alberta, where we already have several excellent meaderies, I was disappointed that one of the stops was a meadery rather than another winery that better showcased the region’s wine industry. I was also expecting more from the tour guide. Rather than acting as a wine concierge, they essentially served only as the bus driver. There was little to no interaction with the group, no information shared about the wines, the wineries, or the Okanagan wine region, and no effort to make the experience engaging or memorable. A wine tour should include someone who is enthusiastic, entertaining, and has at least a basic knowledge of wine and the local wineries to enhance the experience. Overall, this tour did not meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend Sip Happens based on my experience. Better organization, stronger communication, more thoughtfully selected wineries, and a knowledgeable, engaging guide would have made for a much better experience.

Rather than cancelling your experience altogether, our team worked hard to provide an upgraded alternative at no additional cost so that your plans could continue. While our intention was to avoid disappointing you with a cancellation, we understand that the changes still caused stress, and for that we sincerely apologize. As for the winery selection, we carefully curate our routes based on availability, reservations, guest flow, and our partnerships with local wineries. While our tours occasionally include a meadery as a unique local tasting experience that many guests thoroughly enjoy, we understand that not every stop appeals to every visitor, particularly those who have already experienced similar venues elsewhere. We're also disappointed to hear your guide did not provide the level of engagement you were expecting. Our guides are hired not only for their safe driving but also for their hospitality, professionalism, and local knowledge. We strive to create fun, memorable experiences, and your comments do not reflect the standard we expect from our team. Your feedback has been shared internally so we can review this with the guide and continue coaching where needed. Doug was a great driver for this wine tour! It was relaxed and fun. Limited information is provided at the wineries and in some of the venues it is almost impossible to hear what is being said due to being busy and Terrible acoustics. We had a fun group and met some new friends ❤️
We had a bit of a change to our trip but it was all good, they upgraded us at not cost and it was a nice day.

Wineries were beautiful and each provided an educational tasting. Pav, the guide, picked me up exactly on time and gave excellent customer service throughout the day; he was very patient when we stayed a little too long at last winery. Would recommend Sip Happens!

The wine tour was excellent. Our guide Dustin made it special. He was well informed about the wineries and shared much information about life in Canada. The four wineries selected were varied and interesting, and we enjoyed many very good wines. The staff at each winery were helpful and knowledgeable. So glad we booked this tour!
