Had the best day. Was many laughs. Our guide wasn’t the best so we missed some of the itinerary like sand boarding and watching sunset from highest dune. This had nothing to do with 4x4 people it was our tour guide from trip a deal. He just seemed to cut short and took us to outback dinner while daylight and had to sit few hours prior that starting. The 4x4 men did make it fun and we’re trying to get our guide to do stuff but he wasn’t up to it. Highly recommend the tour though. Once dinner started that was a nice night with camel rides, buffet dinner , henna and live entertainment. I held a falcon and I’m not a smoker but gave some big pipe thing ago for laugh. Highly recommend the tour. Just not our guide from trip a deal.
I had an amazing experience with Desert Safari! Our guide Khalid was friendly, professional, and very helpful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and memorable adventure!
By now you have to drive really far to have this experience. Once at the first camp, the driver will immediately lead you to the quads to buy a quad ride. A 2-pers. Quad 250 AED, 20 min. Once on the small track comes constantly control who want to force themselves to drive back because the time is up. You have to discuss this first. After that we went into the dunes for 15 minutes. Our driver was good and drove safely. But spectacularly I know this differently from previous tours. From here you drive directly to a camp for dinner. It's pretty boring here. I have to say it's Ramadan and parts of the show didn't happen. For Premium you should pay extra again as well for Wifi and drinks / food except water and small buffet. Afterwards we will return to the hotel. I think it is important to see which provider you book with. This trip will certainly be fun if you meet the right provider and are in another camp for DinnerShow.
We had Nomi as our driver and tour guide, he was lovely, friendly and polite. He was fun in giving us different poses for photos and advised on the best photo moments and opportunities. This included 4x4 driving, sand boarding, dinner and a show at the camp. Even down to arranging where to park so we didn't get caught up in the crowds when it was time to leave. We had a great experience.
Mohammed was a great safari driver. Pickup was easy. The itinerary was followed and we had a good time
Lousy. In bad taste. It was embarrassing, the dune ride zafa. The food served with the hand... if... a man, with a glove, put his hand out go know what it was (all fried) and in one slap put the food on your plate. The locker room was old, stained fabrics, camel ride 1'. Don't go and spend a day in Dubai doing something worthwhile. It is a waste of time, money and disappointing!
This activity is definitely value for money. You are able to sandboard, ride a camel, experience a 4x4 hair-raising ride over sand dunes, get a small henna tattoo, dress-up, try different local food at the buffet and also watch a few different dances/performances, not to mention the pick up and drop off service. What you need to know is that there is a lot of driving. The venues are quite a way from Dubai city. The experience could really be improved by some guidance from the driver or an itinerary, as you don't really know what to expect when you are picked up. For example, the first stop is quad bikes, which are not included in the ticket and cost as much if not more than the ticket itself. There are also people at that stop trying to sell you products like headscarves and it appears at first they are free, but they are not and are really overpriced). Say no, unless it is a windy day, as they are not needed for the quad bikes and they are available at the buffet stop for a fraction of the price. They appear to be part of the package at the buffet stop too (they are put on your head as you exit the vehicle) but they are not. There are a number of people trying to sell to you at the buffet (even food!) at high prices. The included activities are just tasters. For example, the camel ride is a short walk, the included henna tattoo is a small flower. You will need cash to purchase a larger one. This is good to know as we would have taken cash with us had we known. There is no wifi and low/no reception. Overall, a great activity for a great price and we are glad we did it.
All of these desert trek companies- this one included - are really just glorified drivers. The places they take you to are large commercial enterprises out on the desert. When we pulled up to the quad bike/dune buggy place - there were a good hundred vehicles - buses , SUV’s, cars and vans there, all using the same facility.. it was crowded but somehow it all worked out. Those facilities are a good 1 1/2 drive out from Dubai. Then you head back towards Dubai then into the desert for the dinner, dancing and entertainment. This is a second commercial operation that also had dozens and dozens of vehicles there - a good 300-400 people all told. At this particular place they had a “ VIP” section which cost you 50 Durham each, extra. For that you got to go to a separate buffet that you could access right away - rather than waiting for the show to end before you were allowed to rush into the tent with the peons who did not pay extra. We were also given couches with tables to eat at rather than cushions on the ground for those that did not pay. In the end the number of VIP patrons was about the same as the number of non patrons. Our driver was very sttentive however, more than willing to take all the photos you desired and his “safari” ride out in the dunes was a lot of fun. All in all, it’s a 7 hour experience with a lot of driving but it’s something you should do once,
My wife, our two kids in their 20s, and I spent three days in Dubai and made sure to experience the classic tourist highlights, including a desert safari via Royal Smart Tourism. We were picked up right on time in a very nice, new Toyota 4WD. Our driver, Irshad, was punctual, pleasant, and stayed in touch with us via WhatsApp. He also shared insights about life in Dubai, which made the experience feel more personal. We started by renting a four-seater dune buggy, which was a lot of fun. We stopped along the way to take photos in the desert, and my son even had the chance to drive the buggy himself. After that, Irshad took us to another location for a thrilling 30-minute drive through the dunes in the Toyota 4WD. We upgraded to the VIP section for the BBQ dinner. The food was decent, and both the belly dance performance and the fire show were enjoyable. Overall, it was a well-organized and memorable desert safari experience.
It was such a lovely time! We got to experience the sand sand boarding , nice music in the car, and camp was really entertaining . Picked is up and dropped us off home 10/10.
