We fully recommend the experience for anyone interested in trying the Douro Valley. The trip was professionally-run and very comfortable, with João as a great tour guide. This is perfect for anyone who is looking to experience the Douro Valley but isn’t looking to use up an entire morning through evening to see it. The viewpoints and vineyard we visited were beautiful, and we’d absolutely do this again.
This tour was well organized and seamless for getting to Douro Valley, enjoying the port & olive oil, trying a local restaurant, getting a scenic viewpoint, and returning. Everything was professional and extremely comfortable, and we’d recommend this to anyone who wants to see Douro Valley without having to commit an entire morning through evening to accomplish it. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone interested in trying the area.
We had a great day with Miguel. We were transported in a large Mercedes Van. Miguel was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable of the areas that we traveled to in our 1/2 day trip to the Duoro valley. Not his fault, but one guest dominated conversation in the front seat, and we would have liked to had Miguel lead conversation that all could hear. We felt he was not able to share more info about the area because he was dealing with that. We stopped at 1 winery and then had an amazing (authentic) Portugese lunch near the winery. He stopped for some incredible views along the way too to get some great photos. I would mention that although the trip is advertised for 6 hours, we actually were gone for 7.5 so don't schedule anything right after the tour! Anyways, overall a great trip to see the landscape and understand why Port wine is so unique :)
Afonso was our driver and tour guide. He was exceptionably professional. Conversation was interesting and informative. The views going to the valley were breathtaking and he made sure we don’t miss anything. I would encourage anyone to do this tour.

Absolutely incredible experience. Joao Jesus was a great guide and showed us some of the best places in the Douro valley. The wine was also great!

Afonso was a fantastic guide, very personable and friendly with lots of fabulous history (and Harry Potter!) facts. The tasting location was beautiful and the lunch was fabulous, complete with red wine. I’d highly recommend this if you’re in Porto, especially is Afonso is your guide!
We did the tour with Chris who was an exceptional guide and extremely knowledgeable and accomodating (and friendly!). The experience is a must-do if you are in Porto for more than a day. The views on the drive out whilst in the valley were amazing, as well as on the drive back. The tour of the winery was very good and the stop-offs on the journey at view points of interest broke up the trip and were very enjoyable. We had a great time.
