Nossa viagem começará de Yogyakarta ao Planalto de Dieng para testemunhar o nascer do sol dourado de Sikunir. A localização enevoada, as fontes sulfurosas, os templos antigos e os lagos coloridos realmente fazem deste um lugar de maravilhas naturais e significado cultural. Visitaremos o templo de Arjuna, pequenos templos hindus que datam do século VII. agora temos 10 templos, em vez de 400 templos (História de java: livro de Raffles 1817) As pessoas têm templos criados por habilidades que chamamos de (Sipi). Antes de “Sipi” fazer um templo para o público, Sipi deve criar um pequeno templo nesta área e mostrá-lo ao líder de Sipi. É assim que muitos templos nesta área há muito tempo atrás.

Serviço de busca em seu hotel em Yogyakarta à meia-noite, a viagem até Dieng Plateau levará cerca de 3 horas de carro. A caminhada até o ponto de vista do nascer do sol no planalto de Dieng, no topo da colina de Sikunir, leva de 20 a 30 minutos a partir do pé do caminho que leva você ao topo. Em um dia claro, você pode ver até 8 vulcões do topo desta colina e o nascer do sol sai por trás de 8 vulcões, um belo momento naquela época. Nota: O tempo total de viagem é de aproximadamente 6 horas, este é o tempo estimado para o transporte para todos os locais de/para.
Do topo da colina Sikunir, você seguirá para o lago Telaga Warna via colina Batu Pandang após o nascer do sol no planalto Dieng. O Lago Telaga Warna, ou 'Lago Colorido', contém água que pode mudar em cores flutuantes. Às vezes, pode ser verde, roxo, amarelo ou até pegar as cores do arco-íris! Esse fenômeno ocorre quando o sol atinge a água devido ao seu alto teor de enxofre.
Visite a Cratera Sikidang, que é uma cratera de enxofre aberta com lama borbulhante e vapor furioso. Está inserido numa paisagem acidentada e poeirenta que o fará sentir como se tivesse chegado à lua. Você testemunhará uma pessoa local fervendo ovos na cratera e tomando enxofre.
Arjuna Temple Complex, que abriga dez pequenos templos hindus que datam do século VII.

The itinerary was comprehensive and the views were great. Our guide, Deny, was knowledgeable and shared a lot about the stories / background of the places we visited. He also paid a lot of attention to our safety when climbing up and down Sikunir Hill for the sunrise views. While the drive was long, the views and experience made up for it (kudos to our driver, Bayu, for making the drive smooth and enjoyable despite the traffic!). No regrets booking this tour and highly recommend anyone visiting Yogyakarta to try this once!

Yuni was our local guide. He was timely and friendly. Besides the paid portion of the tour, he showed us the local areas as well.

The waking up early and the long drive is worth the view. This was our third day with the same tour operator and each tour was of the same great level. In this activity, our tour guide was Didik who was beyond helpful. We packed a light jacket and he went out of his way to try and find us a shop to get a ticker one. Didik was not only insightful throughout the whole activity but took us some great photos! He’s also so warm and welcoming, made us feel comfortable throughout. We cannot thank him enough! This activity is a must when you’re in Yogyakarta. My only advice is to wear winter clothes and take a thick jacket since the weather until sunrise is quite cold.

We had a blast with on this excursion! Sigit (our driver) made our experience very comfortable. Although we had to wake up very early in the morning, Sigit’s energy truly kept us going! We were lucky to have a clear day and viewed all 8 volcanoes from the top of Dieng. The lake was very beautiful and the hot springs were a really cool experience. Sigit gave us some great recommendations of local restaurants and things to do around Yogya. He was extremely accommodating and was very helpful to us as his English is great and it was easy to communicate. Great time overall 10/10

Visited 33 years ago when the site was just temples in an open field.Driver Danni helped locate local musician who was playing with a traditional group there that time so I was able to give him his photo with the group . Also photos of the site as it once was. Now it is a major tourist site but is well worth it if you are interested in Indonesian history.

One of the greatest sunrise I have done. Check your weather and make some offerings at shrine for that (pun intended). Driver, Sigit, was punctual, fun and great travel-partner overall if you are solo traveler. The hike to the top of the hill is not-so-much hard, but bring comfy shoes and OUTER (It is COLD, and you need to wait an hour or so to see the rise). Anyway, I would recommend to anyone who love sunrise and a bit of hike. Other visits are also well-designed and give you some more photo-ops.

We had a perfect excursion to Dieng Plateau, which was ca.3 hours drive from our hotel. The sunrise was beautiful, but dress properly, it is quite chilli up there. We had an excellent guide, Atok, who gave answer to all of our questions, and told many interesting things about the country, the sights, about traditions etc. It was really interesting. He not only drove us to the originally planned places, but he bought local fruit, snake fruit for us, and we also visited a Kopi Luwak coffee shop. It was a great experience with him, he did everything, that we enjoy our journey. Thank you!
