Ccaccaccollo é uma daquelas pequenas e pitorescas cidades perdidas nos Andes peruanos. Lá, cerca de 50 famílias vivem da agricultura e do têxtil. As mulheres fazem a tecelagem e os homens cuidam da fazenda. As mulheres recebiam a transmissão de sua mãe ou avó, que por sua vez a recebia de sua mãe; e assim por diante. Aqui teremos a grande oportunidade de assistir a uma palestra e demonstração sobre como o têxtil é feito e tem sido feito há anos. Mas não apenas para assistir, mas para se envolver e fazer uma interpretação dos diferentes estilos e formas nos tecidos que fabricavam há centenas de anos.

As famílias vivem da agricultura e dos têxteis. As mulheres fazem a tecelagem e os homens cuidam da fazenda. As mulheres recebiam a transmissão de sua mãe ou avó, que por sua vez a recebia de sua mãe; e assim por diante. Aqui teremos a grande oportunidade de assistir a uma demonstração sobre como o têxtil é feito e vem sendo feito há anos. Mas não apenas para assistir, mas para se envolver e fazer uma interpretação dos diferentes estilos e formas nos tecidos que fabricavam há centenas de anos. Um membro de uma das famílias nos contará em quíchua (tradução em inglês); as melhores técnicas para compreender os segredos da iconografia tradicional. Observaremos todo o processo desde a tosquia da lã, fiação, lavagem da lã com sabão natural, coleta de plantas e flores usadas para tingimento natural, para isso um guia local nos orientará e nos informará quais plantas iremos pegar para este fim e, finalmente, veremos o processo de tecelagem de roupas.
Depois, visite o colorido mercado indiano em Pisac, onde você pode passear e comprar algumas lembranças locais, se desejar. Continue dirigindo até as ruínas de Pisac, onde você pode explorar as extensas ruínas e desfrutar de vistas deslumbrantes do vale. Aqui você fará uma visita guiada à Cidadela de Pisac, na qual você verá as ruínas de templos, casas, altares, esculturas, túneis, cavernas e a famosa Intihuatana. Intihuatana, o lugar onde o sol se amarra, é uma construção religiosa usada como um relógio para medir quando era a hora de celebrar o solstício de inverno - uma das celebrações e rituais mais importantes do antigo Império Inca. Para aqueles que preferem passar mais tempo no mercado em vez de visitar as ruínas, informe seu guia para que ele organize um horário e local para buscá-lo ao retornar pelo mercado.
Depois, é hora de visitar Ollantaytambo. As ruas estreitas e seus canais não mudaram muito desde a época do Império Inca. No final do passeio, deixamos você em seu hotel.

What a fantastic day travelling through the Sacred Valley with our guide Corina Durann. Her knowledge of the area and its history is amazing and we learned so much from her. The weaving demonstration at Ccaccaccollo was a highlight. It was entertaining and informative and we were shown such hospitality. As part of our Machu Picchu 7 day trip we had this tour included. We were able to see women show the traditional techniques of cleaning, weaving and dying the wool, feed the Alpacas and get some tea for a Sole.
