Às 08:00, seu guia irá buscá-lo em seu hotel / acomodação em Plovdiv e sua jornada no East Rhodope começará. Nosso primeiro objetivo será alcançar e explorar o incrível site de Perperikon. É um sítio arqueológico na Bulgária que tem uma longa e rica história, abrangendo desde a civilização trácia (século V aC ao século V dC) até o período medieval. É considerado um dos maiores e mais importantes sítios arqueológicos da Bulgária. O local engloba um complexo palaciano, um santuário e uma fortaleza e acredita-se que tenha sido um centro político, econômico e religioso no antigo reino da Trácia. Durante o período medieval, Perperikon foi ocupada pelo Império Bizantino e foi usada como fortaleza militar para proteger a região. O palácio tem impressionantes estruturas de pedra, incluindo um grande salão, uma torre e um pátio. Acredita-se que o santuário tenha sido usado para rituais religiosos e místicos, tanto no período trácio quanto no medieval.
Depois de explorar a incrível cidade de Perperikon, continuaremos para o norte e passaremos pela grande cidade regional - Haskovo. Faremos uma parada para almoço no centro da cidade e admiraremos a maior estátua de Virgem Maria do mundo. o monumento foi certificado pelo Guinness Book of World Records como a estátua mais alta da Virgem Maria com o Menino Jesus no mundo. A Virgem Maria é a tradicional padroeira de Haskovo. A Igreja Nacional Búlgara da Santa Mãe de Deus, construída de 1832 a 1837, foi a primeira catedral a ser construída em Haskovo nos tempos modernos.
No caminho, visitaremos uma mesquita medieval muito interessante que servia a uma das maiores feiras do império otomano - a de Uzunzhovo, que foi convertida em igreja cristã ortodoxa no início do século XX. Parte do Caravanserai ainda é visível ao lado da igreja. O lugar é único e definitivamente merece uma visita.
Nossa parada final do dia é uma obra-prima da arte antiga. A Tumba Trácia de Alexandrovo é uma antiga tumba bem preservada localizada perto da vila de Alexandrovo, província de Haskovo, Bulgária. Foi descoberto em 2000 e datado do período helenístico, por volta do século III ou II aC. A tumba é escavada em uma rocha e é composta por uma câmara central e duas laterais. É famosa por seus afrescos bem preservados e outras decorações, consideradas um dos melhores exemplos da arte trácia. Os afrescos retratam cenas da vida cotidiana e rituais religiosos e oferecem um vislumbre das crenças e costumes dos antigos trácios. Depois de visitarmos a tumba, retornaremos a Plovdiv, onde seu guia o levará de volta ao seu hotel / acomodação.

Originally I was on the fence about this tour as my time was limited in Plovdiv. Judging by the pictures on the Google the site looked underwhelming. I was TOTALLY WRONG. The site is beautiful and massive. Pictures will never do it justice. Our tour guide Adrian showed up on time (communication was seamless) and went out of his way to pick us up from an area of Plovdiv that is not easy to drive through. Once on route he started describing the region and all of the history. The site is breathtaking and Adrian made it even better with his funny and intelligent narration. He is without a doubt the most knowledgeable person I have ever met about that era of history. He was able to relate the information to me in a way it made sense and now I want to learn more. You are silly to book this tour through any other tour guide. It is not the cheapest tour but I can assure you it is worth every penny. This is the first review I have posted in my entire life. That’s how happy I was with the entire experience. Thank you Adrian. You have set the standard to which I will compare any other guided tour I will ever take. BOOK THIS TOUR!!!! You won’t regret any of it.

We were the only ones who booked the trip for the day, so Adrian became our private guide. We had a great day! Adrian could tell a lot about the places we visited. He knows a lot about the history of his country and the peoples who ruled there.

Our trip was cancelled so we didn't have an experience. We were not told of the cancellation. If you use this company check midnight to see if the trip is happening. We were waiting to be picked up and was only told when we rang to find out where the driver was. No apology
Dear traveler, I don't know why you are lying that much. You were sent email with alternative dates and a few phone calls to be informed of this. When you called us in the morning you said that your email was not working and your phone was not receiving too. I personally apologized 1000 times because I felt very bad that you did not understand that the tour had to be canceled. Also, you were fully refunded the day before your tour and notified by Viator about it. Sorry, I understand that you are upset but you are lying brutally in this comment.
Tour guide is really nice and taking care of visitors, and even sometimes will take them to extra places.
