We had a great time with Konstantinos, who was very friendly and generously shared his extensive knowledge of Aegina’s history and culture, as well as his own experiences on the island, with us. He also has great recommendations for local restaurants—we thoroughly enjoyed the one he recommended for dinner. Highly recommend!
Evangelis was an excellent guide and driver. We enjoyed his explanations at the pistachio groves and his knowledge of the ancient ruins at Afalia. The Agios Nectarios monastery was so beautiful and enlightening in a spiritual way. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants to enjoy . You have to try the pistachio ice cream!
Our guide was excellent and made the experience memorable. His knowledge of the island and it's history was impressive. Aegina is worth exploring, particularly if you want a different taste from Athens and this tour is worth every penny.
The trip led by Vivien was well planned, interesting and adequate time was spent at each site. Vivien was very knowledgeable about the history of the island and each of the sites visited. The mini bus was comfortable and the driver was very good. We enjoyed the whole experience and the small group were friendly people. A lovely day out.
Very informative, guide was flexible and offered options for places to see and stops to make, also gave restaurant options
Great drive around the island with time in town for lunch. Beautiful churches and scenery. Driver was very knowledgeable and pleasant.
It’s a nice overview of Aegina island. We were picked up at the port and we drove to the Monastery of the Holy Trinity. That was a rather religious experience. More than we expected. There is a monastery and large church in honor of a modern Eastern Orthodox saint. Next we went to the Temple of Aphaia. This was the highlight of the tour for us. Entry of 10€ was not included in the tour. The temple is well preserved and we enjoyed it as it was less crowded than the Acropolis in Athens. Next we drove to a seaside village where it would have been nice to swim if the weather was better. We enjoyed a simple lunch and a coffee instead. Finally we went back to the port and commercial hub of Aegina and tried many pistachio products. All along the tour, our guide Maria gave us an overview of the island.
Thank you so much
Great way to see the island if you are coming over on the ferry for a day trip. Picked us up right at the ferry.
thank you so much
Had a great time with Leon as our guide today. Very nice new van, very comfortable. He taught us about the history of Aegina while driving us along the shore road, then into the interior of the island. We walked a trail to visit a few of the 365 very old small churches on the high ground of the island. We visited the monastery of Nektarius and learned about its history. We learned a bit about how pistachios are grown and stopped at a shop to buy some, and were treated to some snacks and drinks. Finally we visited the Temple of Aphaia, and stopped for lunch at the shore. A great day that gave us a little taste of island life. The colors of the ocean are very beautiful. This was my 13 year old son’s favorite day of our trip to Athens and the Peloponnese. Recommend using the restroom on the ferry on the way to Aegina as there are no restroom stops early in the tour.
Thank you so much for your nice words, we are so happy that offer you a nice experience and make your son favorite day of your trip.
Guide was very informative about the various stops as well as with regards to the history of the island and area. At each stop there was time to explore, wander around and take photos. We very much enjoyed the private tour. Thank you.
