From beginning to end, Exotour proved themselves to be a professional business. Mariam (and Nico) dealt with all my questions and the payment process in a very timely manner and with great courtesy and warmth. The trip was really well-organised and then guided by Paata, who was informative, warm and friendly and treated me more as a guest than a client. I felt like I was being shown Georgia by a good friend. He knew all the places to get the best versions of the local food, while on the road.

My real rating would be 3.5, and this is due to certain disorganization between Viatour and their subcontracted tour operator in Tibilisi Exotour. Specifically, I only received information on airport transfer and the designated hotel hours before departure and only after 6 requests by email to Viatour: unacceptable. Two of the cultural visits Stephantsminda and Okatse Canyons on our 8 day tour required very arduous physical activity of the trekking kind which were totally unexplained in the itinerary. We did not walk up to Gergeti Trinity Church perched on a mountain top we did the Canyon, but wished we had not, as it was hardly worth the effort and exhausting. On the up side, we loved Georgia and found most of the itinerary delightful. Our guide, freelancer Kakha Kapanadse, was an excellent driver an absolute must in Georgia, very cordial and with good English as well as some Spanish. We feel as if we gained a friend in Kakha! The Georgian House Hotel owned by Exotour was an excellent 3 large room, comfortable beds, ac, helpful, attentive staff, abundant breakfast included. Communication problems aside, this is a fascinating and beautiful country well worth visiting better Spring and Fall August was very, very hot. Hurry up and go there before Georgia really gets discovered as a tourist destination!
