Nossa primeira parada será em frente ao Hotel New York. Vamos contar sobre sua história e uso atual. Também de lá teremos uma grande vista sobre o chamado 'tornado' que é o novo Museu Fenix de Migração.
Caminharemos sobre o Erasmusbrug em direção ao distrito marítimo, onde pararemos no Memorial de Guerra de Roterdão da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Vamos falar sobre a ponte e dar uma breve história de Roterdão em relação à Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Pararemos no bairro de transporte na fonte que antes era no centro da cidade. Esta parte característica de Roterdão lhe dará um vislumbre do que Roterdão usava para parecer antes da guerra.
O chamado “Museum Quarter” é um lugar em Roterdão onde estão baseados alguns dos museus mais proeminentes de Roterdão, conectados pelo parque do Museu. Vamos fazer uma parada perto do New Institute olhando para o novo Art Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, um dos mais recentes ícones que foi adicionado a Rotterdam e o primeiro depósito de arte acessível ao público no mundo! Já está se emocionando?
Haverá uma oportunidade para uma pausa de 15 a 20 minutos em uma das ruas de compras mais antigas de Roterdão, De Oude Binnenweg. A duração da pausa depende do tamanho e das necessidades do grupo e pode ser ajustada no local. Durante a pausa, podemos ficar juntos em um bar de café ou você pode optar por passear e explorar por conta própria. Este momento é ideal para socializar, obter recomendações, aquecer, esfriar, ou simplesmente usar o banheiro. Por favor, note que as bebidas não estão incluídas.
Nossa última parada antes de trazer de volta as bicicletas será em frente à histórica prefeitura de Roterdão.

As casas de cubo amarelo podem ser um dos locais de turismo mais famosos da cidade. Vamos ficar na frente, falar sobre a história e tirar fotos.
The Market Hall (2014) tornou Rotterdam mais famosa e é um mercado interior moderno com muita comida e cores! Também a chamamos nossa moderna Capela Sistina e você descobrirá por quê!
Caminharemos ainda mais em direção à Kings Harbour Bridge, onde faremos uma parada e mergulharemos em sua história!

My mum & I as part of our 5 day trip to The Hague wanted to experience a guided tour bike ride in Rotterdam. Elmer was available and he offered us a private tour at no extra fee. Elmer was very thorough to check the bikes tyres were inflated & we were happy with the seat heights. We agreed not to go too fast as we were cycling near main roads. Elmer explained the route we would take & what we would see. We stopped at several points so he could give us the history at that given site. Elmer is fluent in english, and he always gave clear hand signals as to which way we were going. A great 2 hours experience and Elmer is not only an excellent tour guide, but a thoroughly nice person and we would recommend him to anyone of all ages!
This bicycle tour is a great way to see the heart of Rotterdam, and Elmo is a fantastic guide full of knowledge and love for his city. The trip includes many stops to stretch your legs so you are not sitting on the bike for long periods. The bike lanes in Rotterdam are well marked and smooth, with every intersection having signals just for bikes alone. Note that we used pedal bikes (not e-bikes), but we are in our mid-60’s and had no problems. I highly recommend Elmo and this tour for a great experience!

Elmer is passionate about the city he grew up in. Rotterdam has seen dramatic change over its history. He has selected wonderful locations and topics. He tells Rotterdam's history in a personal way, not leaving out many of the ugly truths behind why things are the way they are. But above all, his optimism for the living experiment that is his growing, dynamic city shines through in his tour. This isn't a college kid who memorized some facts (although that kind of tour can be fun, too!). It's a good guy who found a way to share his knowledge and love of his home for a living. Bravo, Elmer!

The bike tour was an excellent experience. Elmer is a friendly and flexible guide. He shares things about the city that you won’t find in written guides. I definitely recommend choosing this activity. In three hours, Elmer takes you through all the main and important sights of Rotterdam. The ride is not demanding — it’s pleasant.
