Riste was an amazing guide. Both knowledgeable and very friendly. The people on the vineyards we visited were also very friendly and provided us with a lot of knowledge and insights. The restaurant Riste showed us was excellent and had an amazing view. Overall we had a very pleasant time and highly recommend that you choose Riste as your guide.

This was a superb experience from start to finish. Riste was a very knowledgable sommelier and knew a lot about the area, the wines and the wineproduction. We visited 2 wineproducers (one in Barolo and one in Barbaresco). Both of them were really outstanding with very dedicated people. This wine tour is higly recommended. Our wine guide/sommelier, Riste, provided an all-encompassing day of wine tasting in the Langhe region of Piedmont. Our tour was exceptional and included tasting of a variety of wines at two wineries with lunch in between, which was elegant, delicious, and had a tremendous view of the Barolo area countryside. We tasted numerous Barolo and Barbaresco wines for which the region is known. We learned about the history and terroir of the region. We also tasted sparkling, white (Arneis, Viognier, Chardonnay), and red (Barbera, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Verduno, and Pinot Noir) wines. Quite an education—all delivered in perfect English. We even had an opportunity to meet the owners of the estates. Riste excellently managed all the communication prior to our tour so we didn’t worry about a thing. We had a perfect day that we will remember for a long time!

Riste planned the perfect day for us to explore the Piedmont region. The knowledge he shared was so helpful, and the private tastings continued to build upon that education. His hospitality was amazing, we will be planning with him every time we visit!

Our winery tour with Riste was beyond our expectations. Not only does he have an extensive knowledge of the wines, but also of the region. Our tour included local insights of Piedmont beyond its fabled wines. Between our winery visits, Riste arranged a lunch at a local restaurant with traditional Langhe cuisine and a breathtaking view. Each winery visit felt personal and was exactly what we were hoping for. Both of our stops were family-owned operations with both tastings hosted by the family. We purchased more wine than we had expected as each stop had such delicious offerings. Riste even helped to ship our wines back home. Riste as our guide truly felt like going on a wine tour with a friend. We cannot recommend his services enough. Also, at the end of the tour, he even provided a bottle of his own wine that he produces, which was delicious.

Our wine tour with Riste was amazing!! He coordinated everything beforehand - recommending restaurants for lunch and making us a reservation to picking us up at our hotel in Alba. His knowledge of the wines in the area was impressive, even before we got to the wineries. He arranged two stops with lunch in between. The tastings were wonderful. It was just me and my husband and we were able to tour the wineries, learn the history, and taste the wine (of course!). Riste helped us arrange shipping of our bottles back to the U.S. also. And he even gifted us a bottle of his own, which was very special. We never wanted the tour to end! What a fabulous experience for our honeymoon. Thank you!

Riste was great! He was very accommodating and incorporated our ideas into his own to make it a wonderful way to learn about the wines of Piedmont. Amazing wine tasting with Riste, I would definitely recommend. He is extremely knowledgeable and we tried so many different wines
