Começamos este passeio muito diversificado na pitoresca aldeia de De Rijp. Aqui, começamos o dia com um agradável passeio matinal ao longo de um canal com belas casas de madeira tradicionais. Os edifícios monumentais nesta aldeia são todos da Idade de Ouro Holandês, incluindo o impressionante conselho municipal. Isso parece estar em um museu ao ar livre, mas é real!
É uma curta distância de carro de DE RIJP para SCHERMERHORN, porque o que é uma visita aos Países Baixos sem ver os icônicos moinhos de vento que transformaram a água em terra? Você está em um prazer, porque SCHERMERHORN é o lar de três dos mais antigos e belos moinhos de vento Holandês tradicionais. Um moinho é agora um museu e você pode explorá-lo de cima para baixo.
Continuaremos o passeio dirigindo para o leste. Depois de atravessar o Houtribdijk, uma barragem de 26 quilômetros de comprimento, você terá tempo livre para almoçar no Batavia Stad.

Simon was awesome! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared so much good information and did it in a fun manner. We would 100% recommend this excursion. We learned so much about the Netherlands, its history and its people and ways of life. Fascinating!
Our tour guide Adrian was fantastic. Really enjoyed learning a lot about the Netherlands reclaiming land from the sea, and all of the different cultures that surround this circular route that we took. Highly recommend.

The Discover the Netherlands tour guided by Simon was excellent and provided more than we expected. We wanted to see the impressive Dutch water management construction projects and the historic towns outside of Amsterdam and were very happy with the results. Simon is an experienced and professional guide who provided a lot of information, happily answered any question, and also knew when to talk with his customers and when to let the experience of seeing impressive water management projects and walking around historic towns sink in. We would happily go on other tours led by Simon.

It’s a relaxing experience, not so much walking but you’ll see the best views and learn the history of each places we visit. Simon is an awesome guide, he didn’t pressure us with the time.

The entire tour from beginning to end was wonderful and informative. Our tour guide, Simon was professional and super nice, the historical info he gave in each providence/town made history come alive. We had fun and had a wonderful lunch. This tour made our trip to Amsterdam complete and made memories we will forever cherish thanks to Simon!
