Começamos o passeio com a retirada em seu hotel, em seguida o guia o levará até a cidade de Tigre onde você terá uma navegação de 1 hora em confortáveis barcos pelo Rio de La Plata com as melhores vistas panorâmicas da cidade , navegando ao longo do 5º maior delta do mundo. O guia esperará por você em Tigre para percorrer em carro particular as famosas ruas de paralelepípedos de San Isidro junto com sua Catedral, e os principais pontos da cidade de Tigre, como o Paseo Victorica, os museus e o cassino. Também visitarão o Puerto de Frutos, onde terão tempo livre para explorar e fazer compras. Ao final do passeio, iremos deixá-lo em seu hotel.

O Porto de Frutas é um pequeno cais às margens do Rio Luján, na cidade de Tigre, próximo ao qual está localizado o mercado de frutas. Devem seus nomes ao fato de que até meados do século 20 desembarcava ali a produção de frutas do Delta do Paraná, que era então comercializada na cidade de Buenos Aires.
O Paseo Victorica é um lugar excepcional, combinando natureza, vista para o rio, gastronomia, clubes de remo e marcos históricos.
A Catedral de San Isidro é um templo religioso de estilo neogótico. Adotou formas desse estilo usadas na Europa entre os séculos XII e XVI, com a única diferença de que foram utilizados materiais e técnicas modernas. O mais característico da Catedral são as suas linhas esbeltas desenhadas a partir da religiosidade para que apontem para o céu. Sua fachada foi restaurada com imitação de pedra e tijolo aparente com tarefas de moldar os ornamentos originais em uma oficina. Sua torre principal tem 68 m de altura. A sua base é uma cruz latina de três naves com abside circular. As colunas são cilíndricas e as paredes de pedra e tijolo têm aberturas com vitrais feitos na França e rosetas góticas. Ao entrar na Catedral, a sua imponência pode ser apreciada através das suas formas que se destacam desde a sua última restauração. No seu interior pode ver as colunas e arcos de estilo neogótico que o levam até ao altar.
A Estação Fluvial de Tigre, onde podemos desfrutar do que a cidade tem para nos oferecer. O serviço em nossos barcos inclui audioguia em espanhol, inglês e português. e depois entrar no primeiro trecho do Delta do Paraná. Entraremos pelos rios San Antonio, pela zona “Tres bocas” e depois pelo rio Sarmiento, ao longo do percurso veremos atrações reconhecidas como o Museu Casa Sarmiento, recreação e pousadas típicas da região, casas particulares, docas, nativos vegetação da área, Delta e a vida particular da ilha.

After hearing from several people that we needed to visit the Tigre Delta we booked an afternoon private tour. We drove from the city center through Ave Libertador which was a very nice scenery, we stopped at San Isidro and saw the church and then proceeded to take a catamaran boat tour on the rivers Sarmientos and San Antonio. We were unable to walk around the San Fernando port area nor stop for lunch but it was a beautiful scenery.

The boat ride on the Tigre Delta (about 100 passengers n the boat) was pleasant and interesting. The "private tour" aspect was transportation to and from our hotel. Four of us were crammed uncomfortably into a small car. The driver spoke very little English, so there was not a lot of commentary about the sites in between the hotel and boat ride. Main activity was to try to sell us on a stop where we were supposed to purchase leather goods. We turned it down. In sum, would have been better to take a big bus tour.

We booked with Depasseios LLC (dp) for a city tour through Get Your Guide, and we had a great experience. Because of this, we went directly to the dp website to book the Tigre Delta tour. What a different experience, and not in a good way. They lost our reservation, and no tour guide showed up to pick us up at the scheduled time of 9am. Fortunately, we still had Luca, our city tour guide, on WhatsApp, and he was able to make contact with the office (none of the numbers we were provided with for dp worked), and they scrambled to find a guide for us who arrived at 10:15 am. The great news is that Diego, our eventual tour guide, was fantastic! We made it to Tigre by noon for the river tour, and we still had a successful day. At the end of the tour, Diego introduced us to El Ateneo Grand Splendid, an opera house converted into a bookstore, which we would have never found without Diego. So my rating is a 5 for Diego, and a 1 for Depasseios LLC, the tour company. That averages out to a 3.

This tour wasn’t what we expected. The guide picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Tigre. The guide seemed surprised that we expected him to get on the boat with us. He was just going to wait on the pier. Good thing he came, because the boat narrator didn’t say anything in English. Our guide was able to tell us what she said. The Tigre delta was not very picturesque. Mainly old houses along the river, most in bad repair.

Maurice was our guide and did a great job. He showed us the sites on the way to Tigre. The boat trip was very nice. It makes a loop through the delta. Very pretty area. We had beautiful weather for a boat ride. Lots of shade on the top level to enjoy the views. I highly recommend!
