Delta do Mekong 3 dias: Saigon para Phnom Penh Gateway

We booked the 3D2N Mekong Delta tour (without exiting to Phnom Penh) as a couple, and our guide, Du Hao Lam, made it a truly exceptional experience. Lam's English was excellent: clear, well paced and patient, and he always made sure we knew what was coming next. He arrived early every morning with a huge smile and had a great sense of humour, which made the days a lot of fun. His itinerary got us to each attraction at the best time of day with minimal travel, and his enthusiasm for sharing his country, culture and food made the trip special. Our highlights were cycling through a village among the fruit trees, visiting the communities who live and trade on the Mekong, and the boat ride through the forest, which was the main reason we chose the 3-day tour. Watching the birds fly back to roost at sunset was magical, and it was all thanks to Lam's planning. At our last stop, he also helped us buy fruit from local vendors and made sure we got a fair price. We stayed at the Wink Hotel on the first night, which far exceeded our expectations (rooftop bar and pool, great buffet breakfast, fully equipped gym), and at Chau Pho Hotel on the second, which is a little dated but perfectly comfortable. The meals were delicious, and if you enjoy Vietnamese food, you're in for a treat. A note on the company: we were the only couple to book the 3D2N group tour in low season, and we appreciated that they went ahead anyway, which gave us time to explore the Mekong at a relaxed pace. We also liked having the option to pay upon meeting the guide, which gave us real peace of mind given that we had heard about fake travel agencies. We highly recommend Lam, the company and this tour.

Had a fantastic tour with Mr Lam. We did the tour in reverse (starting in Phnom Penh) and the tour operator and guide were very flexible. Lam looked after us really well, even sitting down for meals with us which is unusual and we appreciated it. Great conversations and lots of laughs, teaching us the local way to eat (esp. lettuce), local dishes that we would not have found, and teaching us some Vietnamese too. There were some extra surprises, like a "duck massage" and making puffed rice. When we were ill one morning, Lam adjusted the tour to accommodate seamlessly and was very caring and helpful. Would highly recommend this tour and guide.

Excellent service from start to finish. From the moment I started organising my two tours Gwen was attentive efficient and extremely kind and friendly. She organised both the tours which proved to be faultless. The first one we did was with LILLY to the tunnels. Lilly was beyond informed, spoke beautiful English (and other languages), hilarious polite interested and nothing was a problem. Fantastic Host. The Mekong delta we did with JASON who was professional thorough engaging chatty knowledgable and extremely kind. We had a personal problem at the end of the tour and both Gwen and Jafo. Kept helping us. We felt completely supported and we would have struggled without them. A massive thanks to all 3. A message to the owners- the quality of these three staff is impeccable. This should be noted and rewarded. If they lived in the Uk I would employ all three without hesitance.

From the first minute till the end, the experience was perfect! Yudi, the tour guide was exceptional! His knowledge and guidance was outstanding and I will 100% recommend this tour to anyone!

Daisy was great! Phenomenal tour guide! Would consider doing 2 days instead of 3 just cause of the length but all personal preference. Daisy was great communicating before and all the stops were wonderful with lots of things to see. Very cultural experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh.

It was an amazing tour, our guide Lâm was amazing explaining a lot of things about food, culture and the way of living in the Mekong. The food was delicious even for a vegetarian like me. Best food I ate in Vietnam. The places are one more interesting that the other one. Definitly a must do to get into the heart of this country.
